Husband, Father 👧👦👧, Entrepreneur, Proud Member of Reform UK, we need to make Great Britain Stronger 🇬🇧 again!

North London
Great to be on @AndreWalker’s show last night discussing Ed Miliband’s reversal on drilling at the Jackdaw gas field, following sustained pressure from @Nigel_Farage and the important campaigning work of @HeartlandUK. We also discussed the wider economy and the urgent need to attract international investment into Britain — creating new industries, skilled jobs and economic growth. And why Britain needs to rethink its relationship with Africa. Less dependency on aid, more genuine economic partnerships built on trade, investment and shared prosperity. Britain needs to rediscover its ambition to do business with the world.

Lana is exactly who should be running the UN and fixing a broken organisation. She will make the organisation be fair, relevant and effective again.
I am standing to be Secretary-General because I believe this is a moment to act with greater urgency: to act earlier, bring people together across difference, and drive the work forward until it produces concrete results. That is how we rebuild trust in the United Nations and ensure it delivers meaningful change for the people it exists to serve. My vision: lananusseibeh.org

Argentina’s Mining Secretary is in London this week asking British investors to back its lithium and copper sector, including at LME Week. At the same time, Buenos Aires is escalating legal and economic pressure on British-linked companies operating lawfully around the Falkland Islands.  That is remarkably short-sighted. You cannot ask British capital to trust Argentina while threatening companies and executives for doing business connected to British territory. Investors will reasonably ask one question: if political disputes can spill over into sanctions, litigation and commercial pressure, how secure is my investment?

Labour clearly has no industrial strategy, only announcements catering to identity politics. A serious industrial strategy cannot simply be a list of fashionable sectors accompanied by government announcements. Industrial strategy should have one objective: Make Britain one of the best places in the world to build things, finance things and sell things thus improving everyone's quality of life. Everything else is secondary.

Britain’s welfare bill is spiralling out of control. 7 million people claim sickness or disability benefits, with costs heading towards £130bn. Those genuinely in need must be protected, but we cannot keep taxing workers to fund a system that discourages employment. Radical reform is overdue. #WelfareReform #UKEconomy #Taxpayers wsj.com/world/uk/united-king…

Energy policy is not simply an environmental issue. You cannot simultaneously say Britain should lead the next industrial revolution while making the energy required to power it expensive or difficult to secure. Labour's approach puts too much faith in targets and not enough emphasis on abundance. The countries that dominate the economy will not simply be those with the best universities or cleverest engineers. They will be the countries that can provide vast quantities of reliable, affordable power. The Industrial Revolution ran on coal and steam. The next revolution will run on electricity, nuclear energy, oil and gas. Britain needs an energy strategy that understands that.

Labour is losing public confidence, yet its priority appears to be scrapping voter ID checks. The Conservatives had 14 years to restore trust in politics and squandered the opportunity. Surely the lesson for both parties is that democracy needs greater transparency and accountability, not less?

Britain cannot build a high-growth economy by making it progressively more expensive to employ people. Yet that is exactly the direction Labour has taken. Employer National Insurance has risen from 13.8% to 15%, while the threshold at which employers start paying it has fallen from £9,100 to £5,000. Growth does not begin in Whitehall it begins when somebody decides to invest their own money, employ another person and take a risk. The government should be encouraging that decision not making it more expensive.

@Nigel_Farage is right to demand that Britain face this crisis. The Jewish community should never have to fight alone for the right to live safely in its own country. Britain must stand with Israel. Not just in words, but in action. The horrific Hamas terrorist attacks of October 7, 2023, and the antisemitism that followed exposed a deeply troubling reality here in Britain. The atrocities of October 7 must never be justified, and criticism of Israel must never become an excuse for hatred towards Jewish people. We need more than statements of condemnation. We need decisive action against antisemitic intimidation, proper protection for Jewish communities and the political courage to confront hatred wherever it appears, not a two-tiered policing and political system catered to those who cause the most damage to our once great country. @reformparty_uk

Very strong and wise words from Nigel. October 7th was not only the darkest day for Israel in a generation. It exposed something deeply troubling here in Britain too. The glorification of terrorism. The rise in antisemitism. The intimidation of British Jews on our streets. Reform Friends of Israel stands firmly with Israel, with Britain’s Jewish community and against antisemitism in all its forms. Never again must mean something.

Among those murdered on 7 October were British and British-Israeli citizens. We will remember 7 October. We will remember those we lost. And we will never forget those who stood with us.

3 years ago today, we witnessed the worst terror attack in Israeli history. Hamas terrorists carried out a pogrom, murdering people because they were Jewish. We must confront radical Islam and the antisemitism it spreads. My thoughts are with the victims and their families.

Britain cannot build a stronger economy simply by doing more of what we already do. We need to create the industries of the next 30 years: advanced manufacturing, critical minerals, defence technology, data infrastructure, energy, robotics and life sciences. That means making Britain a place where capital wants to come, businesses want to build and entrepreneurs are encouraged to take risks. We should stop managing decline and start building again. My thoughts here 👇 lnkd.in/p/ddzvBCeA

Burnham’s answer to Britain’s problems? Weaken the pension triple lock, expand state control of water, energy and housing, create another publicly owned energy body and reopen the debate over our relationship with the EU. More state. More bureaucracy. More uncertainty for investment. Labour is failing Britain and doubling down on the same instincts won’t deliver growth. The country needs a different future: enterprise, investment, lower energy costs and an economy that rewards work and aspiration. Reform is offering that alternative — and hope that Britain can grow again.
