This Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2, I really think it might be the best Android tablet you can buy. And it's WAY CHEAPER than what Samsung offers

I made a video about critics misunderstanding the Google book and people are really taking this the wrong way. I don't think it's a bad thing to criticize the Googlebook. I DO think it's a bad thing to make like 20 minute videos saying they are unusable. Or to say not a single person should buy one. It's absurd. I think it's because so many people also think Chromebooks shouldn't exist and that they're not worth buying, but these are basically premium versions of Chromebooks. It's a new OS so it's not perfect, but most of the bugs are already fixed or in the short pipeline to be fixed within the next couple of weeks anyway. It is a web-based operating system with Android apps. And it should have been marketed like that from Google from the beginning. But it is worth buying for plenty of people and for people who want premium Android laptops. But it is not a replacement for your MacBook or your Windows laptop. It's only a replacement for people who don't need all the application support right away. We should be able to have a nuanced conversation and say all of those things.

Okay, so I've been talking a lot about game streaming and how it almost makes gaming handhelds obsolete. But I finally found a great reason to get another Xbox Ally: Xbox 360 Emulation. Xbox emulation isn't as far on Android as it is on Windows. And if you switch phones a lot like me, having all your emulators all on one dedicated device is huge. Also, there are times when game streaming can become laggier, and that is when you're on cellular data or when you're running on Xbox's cloud streaming, which is actually worse than GeForce Now. But if you're on your home network, you could always game stream your games to this Xbox handheld anyway. My Z Fold 8 is amazing, but to take advantage of the full screen whenever I'm opening it up wide, because the USB-C port is on the bottom, I basically need to use a Bluetooth controller. So then I need to keep two separate devices fully charged, and then I still have to get the input lag of streaming, especially if I'm out and about. So my plan is to utilize streaming when I'm in the house and utilize GeForce Now in situations at home, but I can always use this one dedicated device for gaming and for emulation in situations when I'm leaving the house or maybe just if I want to keep my phone for other things. Plus the Xbox 360 emulation is nice.

The YouTuber strategy of paying $2,000 for YouTube to boost videos, only to use that as a reason to charge $5,000 or $10,000 to a company for the next sponsorship, that is alive and well. It's the #1 way for an older dying channel to pretend they are still relevant!

Probably one of the most underrated devices out there. I'm watching NBA League Pass while scrolling X. It looks REALLY good. Not OLED. But like a really nice gigantic 2k to 4k display while I'm disconnecting from the real world. It's a great way to disconnect.

It's time we stop underrating Xbox. Xbox Play anywhere gives me PC access to like half my game library. Xbox cloud streaming is shockingly good, I can play Madden on my Googlebook with like 0 lag while my daughter hogs the Xbox on the TV. Add GeForce Now and my Googlebook can play anything

My favorite Googlebook so far is honestly the Dell XPS. It has the best app experience, it is small, portable, it has a premium build, and a good matte screen that isn't OLED but it still looks amazing. And I love the X Elite processor. Shout out to @Snapdragon for sending this to me. I don't need a haptic trackpad. This feels premium all the way around. The Asus is good but costs $300 more, doesn't have snapdragon. Yes it has OLED and other things, but I just like what you get here for $999

The iPhone Duo has a better screen than it gets credit for on X. Dust resistance is a big deal. The app optimization issue will be fixed in a few weeks, and apps will probably be better optimized on Apple versus Android. Video quality will probably be better on the Duo vs the Z Fold 8. There's a lot of foolishness that will go on to get clicks, but a lot of these things are true. But there are counterpoints to all of these things. The screen may be better than some people are saying, but still, I would argue that the Samsung Z Fold is going to have better contrast. It's going to be better in sunlight. I would also argue it has a better overall design that is lighter and thinner and feels more like the future. I would argue the software is more polished today and it will have more customization in the future too. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will have the better main camera since it's a 200 megapixel sensor. There are pros and cons to all of the foldables and the iPhone Duo will be a top foldable that's going to match up well with Samsung and Samsung foldables will match up well with the iPhone Duo. X is going to be full of extreme takes, people on both sides, trying to *bring balance* to thing. Even I tend to do that. I HATE the idea of Apple fanboys pretending Apple invented tht foldable. But there's a balance to all of this that we should try to strike. Let's let people enjoy their fun tech and enjoy these foldables and get excited about them. But let's also not be fanboys and realize that there are other foldables that came first and they are better in a lot of ways too.

The talk around Googlebooks is frustrating to me. "It's unusable because Gmail has a web app". Uhhh, is the web app fast? Does it work well? "My Outlook app doesn't work well". Yeah. It's a brand new OS and that app is an Android app. Have you tried using... The web? Is it really that hard for people to understand that Googlebooks are similar to Chromebooks? They are built to run some desktop apps, yes. But they are built also around an OS that is very lightweight running on Google Chrome. It's a mixture of an Android device and a Chromebook. Do I want to see more apps? Yes. But can we stop acting like Googlebooks are unusable? Install a few web apps for regular apps that don't work well. And get to work and enjoy your productivity. The fact that people are demanding to only do work in an app even though it's exactly the same in the web browser is astonishing to me. I understand some legitimate criticisms. I want to be able to delete multiple things on the desktop at the same time. And we need to be able to bring multiple Chrome OS features over that aren't available yet. But it's this type of stuff that frustrates me. People that just don't understand the product and who it's for. They create a false perception about the product. Then they criticize Apple because this isn't like their MacBook or their Windows laptop. A Googlebook is for people who have lightweight needs and they love to use the web or basic apps for doing stuff. And it's meant to give those people a premium experience with premium hardware. Multiple Chrome profiles are coming soon. This operating system will only get better. But even today it's a good OS for people who just need the basics and love Android.

I'm excited for people to try out the iPhone Duo. For many Apple users this will be their only taste of a foldable phone and it's going to do many things better than Android foldables on the market. But it has flaws like every foldable. It's heavy. And I love how @MKBHD put it

The iPhone Duo will expose one of the biggest problems we've had with foldables for years. Heavy foldables phones become a pain. A lot of people use foldable phones closed, and after doing that for awhile they ask themselves, why use this heavy brick closed when I could use a traditional phone with a far better camera for way less money? And they go back to a traditional phone. We are talking about a phone that is like 20% heavier than the Z Fold 8. It's something you will barely notice in quick demos. But it is something that is a MASSIVELY big deal. The screen protector is a nice trick to avoid the crease reflections, but the crease is nearly as present as it is on the Z Fold 8. In reality, this is a great foldable, but it's like a Pixel Fold vs a Galaxy Fold 8. The Pixel Fold has water resistance and it is heavier, but it has better durability. There are pros and cons. So the iPhone Duo will have a lot of pros, and I'm very happy that Apple users will finally get a fun foldable, a great foldable. But it will have cons, and they need to be pointed out. So enjoy the foldables. But please, especially creators, educate your audiences.

My last YouTube video apparently had multiple weird glitches in the first 30 seconds. I almost never watch my videos after editing because I've edited well for so long. But man. Now I'm having to re-upload a video 24 hours later. It's the worst. I guess I made the "one big flaw"

My Dell XPS Googlebook is running an MMO, through GameNative and Steam. Lord of the Rings online running at 1080p at 60fps. GameNative is optimized so well for @Snapdragon. So happy they sent this to me for review! PS: On Intel Googlebooks I couldn't get game native games to run

No self awareness on the man. Apparently he invented this pose and everyone else copies him. He attacks other YouTubers for no originality on thumbnails. Then he copies others and basically across like he was the first person to do this. Wild

So it's here! My review of the Acer Googlebook is officially live! And my feelings are mixed. On one end, it's the ONLY 2-in-1 and it's a fun experience. On the other end, there were a few software bugs and hardware issues that were annoying. The link is below in the comments

I need to be clear: The Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro, it's a really great Android tablet for the money. But it does have some flaws. Constant Amazon integration at every corner. But the pros? 7 years of updates vs like 3 or 4 years from other similar tablets. A great display. Etc

The Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro, it's a great tablet, but it's another example of influencer culture. People are praising the "Nanonite" display. They are praising Amazon Alexa... And Amazon's AI. And how great and powerful this tablet is. But Lenovo has been releasing Android tablets with keyboard and high powered Snapdragon processors and anti reflective displays around $500 for awhile now. Real Android tablet users know that. But instead, they compare it to the iPad Nano-Texture. They are amazed by the ability to use software to switch to black and white. But TCL has done that for years. It's not a good thing to have ask Alexa in the bottom of your tablet. It's not a good thing to have Amazon services plastered all throughout your tablet. It's not a good thing that the cheaper tablets have all of these ads. With all that being said there is a lot of nuance here because this is still a terrific value in the Android tablet market and it will get 7 years of updates which is sensational to and with Samsung prices getting higher getting another competitor with a super good tablets with basically TCL technology for reading, and a great matte display, and a fairly powerful processor, it's amazing to have tablets running base Android with the Play store from amazon. Overall these will be a good value. But if you want to know how good of a value it actually is, you probably need to talk to Android influencers who actually use Android for themselves. And you might get a lot of good impressions from general influencers that cover all tech, but they probably won't know a lot of the small things that Android tablets have elsewhere

I think @linusgsebastian genuinely doesn't realize that on Chromebooks or Googlebooks you right click by pressing with two fingers. It's always been a better way to do things vs a right click, and it's a gesture available even on windows. He's claiming copy and paste is broken on Googlebooks, and that Googlebooks are broken because Google Docs opens up in the browser? Again, I love him as a content creator. CLEARLY a Googlebook may not be his primary laptop as he is a heavy gamer and content creator. But creators shouldn't come at a product angry because it's not right for them, they should try out a product and ask themselves "who is this product right for?" Googlebooks aren't for everyone. But for Android users who don't need heavy desktop apps TODAY, Googlebooks are still terrific. There are some genuine bugs that are still being worked out, most of them pretty minor for a daily user. But TOMORROW this could be the operating system for all Android users. Today? It's still pretty good for the basics.

The Gamesir X5 Lite Xbox Edition on the Z Fold 8 Ultra. As for the Z Fold 8, it technically works, but obviously it just makes the screen crazy tall.

Look at this incredible new technology. Apparently the ability to rotate a laptop was just invented. Who knew. I can't believe the ability to rotate a laptop exists, and that there's a setting to help with it. This is very dumbfounding. But hopefully I can figure all this out
let me just rotate my laptop here real quick

Apparently you are able to play Steam games right on you Android tablet or phone with a simple installation. All through the game native app. Obviously a lot of games won't work. But excited to try them on the Tab S12 Plus and the Googlebook!

Some first impressions of the Acer Googlebook: This will probably be my least favorite Googlebook. The fingerprint sensor/power feels slightly loose. Maybe a cheap switch underneath the key. The device itself has a type of coating that feels like plastic even though it isn't. This thing gets fingerprints all over. And finally, the tablet mode is a little buggy. On the plus side, you are getting an OLED screen for $899. The travel on the keys is plenty good and the touchpad is glass but it isn't haptic. Still, the touchpad experience is good as well. Once you get into the system and start using it feels plenty snappy and screen looks great. The battery life has been pretty good for me so far too. So I would say it's a good device, but the other devices are so premium that it's hard to recommend. Even for people who want a tablet, I would recommend holding out for something like a Lenovo Duet tablet which should be coming eventually. It's nice to have a 2-in-1 option. Hopefully they can do some updates on the fingerprint sensor. If they can fix that and the tablet mode. This would be a solid recommendation for people who really really want a 2-in-1 but as of now a lot is to be desired, especially when I compare it to some of the more premium offerings.

One of my biggest problems with tech reviews is the lack of nuance. If there is one annoying flaw a tech reviewer doesn't like, they will just say "DON'T BUY IT". Or if a device isn't a "big" upgrade, they will say "DON'T BUY IT". But what about people coming from far older devices? Not everyone upgrades their devices every year. Some people upgrade their devices once every 6 years. What about those people? What about the people that take advantage of pre-order deals? Or what about in two months for black friday? Instead of saying "wait for a price drop" or "this is worth buying during an early launch with good deals" reviewers will say "I hate Samsung or Apple for this one thing. Buy last year's model". But what happens when last years model isn't even available for sale? Or what happens if someone doesn't want to buy used? Our job as reviewers is NOT to give hot takes. It is to HELP OUR AUDIENCES

The Galaxy Tab S12+ and the Tab S12 Ultra have officially released! Today I just released my S12 Ultra review. Despite losing the anti-reflective screen, it's still a great tablet and a solid upgrade for older Galaxy tab users. Links to my video/the tablet in the post below

So I just tried to edit a video on Adobe premiere on my Galaxy tablet. Good news and bad news. First of all, after waiting a few minutes to process, it was able to add my 4K video that was 25 minutes long with no issue. Everything felt extremely smooth and responsive and the editing was very intuitive. The negative, if you go to add b-roll, there's no place to add b-roll. It just adds whatever videos you add to your a roll and then you have to manually move it to the b-roll. And I'm guessing you will have to mute every single piece of b roll every time. Outside of that, a lot of their features from desktop aren't on mobile. Technically lumafusion is actually more intuitive and allows you to add your b-roll yourself and you can even scroll through the b-roll before you add it. So overall, luma fusion is a better option as of today
