I’m not sure whether the Southern Section uses CalPreps or MaxPreps, but MaxPreps ratings have really shifted in ways similar to what you’re describing. The ratings are all a bit tighter together. I’m not sure if it’s an accurate reflection of the competition level as a whole.

It's amazing how the CIF has let common sense just quietly slide almost completely out of the equation.
You may have discussed this in your stream earlier, but I’m pretty baffled by Foothill seed after learning more about their situation. I’d love to hear some commentary on the rationale behind that decision!
