lol so it "plays best on playstation" because of the controller? some "better" audio? a barely noticeable SSD improvement?
nothing about actual performance, which i assume is what most people think when they hear "plays best". just more lies from sony.
If you've been wondering what "Plays best on PS5" marketing tag on GTA 6 means, here's the list of features that the game will support at launch:
>Tempest 3D audio
>Near-instant loading times
>Haptic feedback
>Adaptive triggers
>Integrated speaker
I also found it quite funny that Sony had to mention that the game is not playable on PlayStation 4 here

sadly bioware has been dead for long time. their last successful game was in 2014 and they've released 3 huge stinkers since then. it's sad because anthem had some potential. best flying mechanic i've ever tried, wish something could have been done there.

this is very cool. seems high effort and getting the original VA's 11 years later makes it feel like official DLC. it might as well be considered that. when creations are done right, it's a great system. even better when it's Bethesda paying for it on big projects like this.

16 years ago, i asked my mom to rent new vegas from blockbuster and never returned it. that method only works once for getting a new game but i'm glad i picked new vegas.

i like max, but a 4090 definitely can handle any game on near max settings. there are some settings like PT that even 5090's struggle with, but that's how it always is with cutting edge graphics settings. steam is still growing despite AI's impact on PC parts. PC is the future.
There is an absolute shift happening and it's not in favor of PC.
PC gaming sucks and at least more are finally admitting it publicly.
Community note
Steam just reached an all time high concurrent users on October 11, 2026 (8 days before this post), for the third time in this year.

can you stop begging us to trust you and just prove it already? you are the same person who rug pulled the rocket league community. if your AI is soooo great then fucking prove it with a great game. we will all be waiting.
The games we've long wanted, which didn't exist because they'd cost several times more to make than they'd earn back, will soon become possible. As will the games developers wanted to build, but couldn't with the resources available. It'll be a new golden age of gaming.

never uninstalled an app so fast in my life.
We vibe coded the Epic Games Launcher to be faster than the other guy.

this weasel is trying his hardest to cut cost with AI. in a new "shooter with marvel and star wars characters", he has decreed:
1. "AI First" development
2. "No more hand-written code"
3. "All art generated with full AI workflows"
info via Jason Schreier & @Bloomberg
We have a huge pivot underway here at Epic, moving developers around to retool for maximum AI acceleration.
The aim isn't to do the same stuff with fewer people, but to enable everyone here to build MORE and BETTER stuff, and to bring the benefits to all teams using Unreal.

"BGS has a history of respecting players' time"
Skyrim was released in 2011 and it is 2026. ESVI isn't even shown to the public yet. it has been 15 years and we know literally nothing about the game. ES fans have not had their time respected lol.
I disagree. Bethesda has to support consoles, too, and lengthy descents would need to be optional.
BGS has a history of respecting players' time rather than forcing them through lengthy travel sequences or other cinematics.
The mod is impressive, but there's some smoke and mirrors involved, with visible seams if you look closely.
And neither Todd nor Bethesda ever said it was impossible.
Immersive for some can be tedious for others.

tim used his "platform company" (epic games) to "acquire a large user base" (rocket league) then "transitioned us from the generous principle" of player to player trading (we assumed was permanent), to a "greedy new principle" (item shop only) 6 months after this tweet. B&S 101.
I think platform companies should state their principles up-front and stick to them. The problem is in acquiring a large user base then transitioning from generous principles that users assumed were permanent to greedy new principles. It’s ultimately a bait-and-switch.

it might be reductive to call this guy a "modder", but a modder is adding seamless landings to Starfield, a task Bethesda thought impossible. it will not make the game much better or anything, but imo it shows how behind Bethesda is when it comes to creating their own games.
A software engineer named Frederik Wessberg is creating a PC mod for Starfield that enables seamless landings on planets and moons without any loading screens! The mod will be 100% free and released on Nexus Mods.
Frederik says, “You can do it entirely auto-piloted and leave your cockpit seat and walk freely around your ship or enjoy the views while the ship flies from orbit to ground. Or, you can fly manually too. Fly around in low orbit and enjoy the views, or indeed fly uninterrupted to land on the ground.” #Starfield

the cyberleek saga continues. he is now threatening to release a fully playable build of GTA 6. he says the only way to prevent this is if Take Two prints discs for GTA 6 and apologizes. i might feel bad but Take Two just wants to milk us for everything so i actually don't care.
Cyberleek has threatened to release a complete playable build of GTA 6 that can reportedly be finished “start to finish”
The leaker allegedly warned that major story spoilers could follow to prove the build is real

what are we even talking about here? if a game comes out in 2026, it should be in the 2026 game awards lol. the show should never be held in the same year. it's because the game awards is designed to show you ads for the holidays, not award the best game of the year.
Alanah Pearce claims that GTA 6 is unlikely to be eligible for The Game Awards and likely won't be considered for GOTY.
In 2025, the first round of Jury was done by Nov 4th & they announced nominees on Nov 17th. Unless TGA voting is delayed, GTA 6 is not getting a nomination.

crimson desert is my GOTY. requiem was great but it was just kind of another RE iteration. dawnwalker is very good but crimson desert captured me like not many single player games have. haven't tried control resonant yet but i've heard nothing but good things.
if GTA 6 really doesn't qualify for GOTY I could actually, in theory, see Control Resonant winning. Though if I had to put money on it, RE Requiem. Also depends on how Ocarina remake is viewed

why do gamers hate preorders so much? the only thing i can think of is cyberpunk. the game made all of its money back before it launched cause of preorders, which likely caused them to launch anyway even though it wasn't ready. is that scenario the primary reason?
