So basically normal results lol
2026 Senate results if Democrats had received no Election Day votes: 🔵 North Carolina: D+9 🔵 Georgia: D+3 🔵 Texas: D+2

Well that and all seats that were targeted have been called so…..
Funny how no one complains about the speed of California's vote-counting when we aren't waiting for the results of a bunch of House races there!

Bill Lee seems like the obvious choice but he probably doesn’t wanna be in a 44 seat minority
Blackburn has limited options in appointing someone to replace her in the Senate. Burchett's seat while quite red would obviously be competitive in a special election in this environment.

That’s so stupid

They said they wouldn't list things as flips in states with new maps.

Come to think of it, did republicans lead at all in any of flips in governorships or senate seats at any point in the night?

If the remaining votes hold in the house, democrats will be on track for a net gain of 44 seats.

David has been posting those “you see these results on election night” simulations that most describe as wish-casts. Most of them ultimately became vindicated. Top one off for David. Salute.
The Dem insiders I know have been telling me Mississippi is competitive for months and I'm starting to kinda come around WWC voters who have every reason to swing Dem, supercharged black turnout from Callais, R+10 polls in Arkansas, and a huge candidate quality difference...

Wisconsin democrats can now make this map a reality.
This is a lie that geography is against Dems in Wisconsin. You can literally create a 4-4 map.

I think it’s a good time to remember what “bad geography” actually means. States like West Virginia and Massachusetts are real examples of it, because there’s no big pockets of democrats and republicans to draw leaning seats.

If geography wasn’t against dems you wouldn’t have to split madison and milwaukee

Ok but to be fair there was an Independent in 2018 that took 5% of the vote
D+5.03 Kansas in 2018 vs. D+5.00 Kansas in 2026

I think it’s ridiculous to not call races just because it’s within recount territory. The largest number of votes changed in a recount was 2,570 votes in the 2018 Florida senate race and Bill Nelson still lost by 10K votes. This race is over and TEC has already called the race.
Cindy Holscher (D) has won the governor's race in Kansas but the networks haven't called it yet.

If Scott wins in 2028, it will be within 10 points. There’s no recovering the democrats he lost this year.
In Vermont, Republican Gov. Phil Scott leads by a margin of less than 7 points - the smallest in any of his Governor runs. In 2024, Scott won by over 50 percentage points.

To be fair independents have more of a better foothold in Alaska than Nebraska or other states. Independents came somewhat close to flipping the house seat in 2018. There are also independents in the state house.
Ultimately I think Osborn would have done pretty much the same had he run as a Dem, as evidenced by how closely he and Lynne Walz ran together (contrast with how Osborn outran Dems two years ago). BUT I still think Bill Hill would have won in Alaska had he run as a Democrat.

CNN still has their election graphics up even though the senate and house have already been called.

Nope there is no recount provision in Mississippi
Interesting. Cant a candidate ask for one? Or is that an elaborate process?

The hogs are starting to question the results let’s go!
Hmmm… Very Interesting… Texas Governor’s Race Results 2018 - 🟥 Greg Abbot: 4.6 Million Votes - 🟦 Lupe Valdez: 3.5 Million Votes 2022 - 🟥 Greg Abbot: 4.4 Million Votes - 🟦 Beto: 3.5 Million Votes 2026 - 🟥 Greg Abbot: 4.5 Million Votes - 🟦 Gina HinoJosa: 5.2 Million Votes Ummmm I am having a hard time understanding where all these votes came from for Gina
