DETAINED: Palestinian human rights defender @Issaamro has been detained by Israeli soldiers in south #Hebron for trying to help a family at risk of dispossession. We are concerned for his safety and wellbeing and call for his immediate release.

Today, an Israeli soldier arbitrarily closed the checkpoint, preventing Palestinians from reaching their homes. Teachers, workers, students, were all blocked from moving freely. These restrictions are part of a system of military occupation and apartheid that makes daily life unbearable and pressures Palestinians to leave their homes for the benefit of expanding settlements.
