@leerob from the Grok Bot team walked a Stanford class through the order it tries things, cheapest and most reliable first:

Every step down is slower, pricier and riskier. So connect the apps you use every day, and your Bot stays at step 2 instead of clicking around a browser β‘
Then ask it:
"Which of my regular jobs are you doing in the browser that a connector could do faster? List each one and the app I should connect."
His rule: if a connector breaks, the Bot shouldn't sneak around it with the browser. It should stop and tell you.

I use both Codex and Claude Code.
The best use I've found for having both is letting one write the code and the other check it. The same model tends to miss its own mistakes.
You put Claude Code on your Grok Bot. Now make Codex check its homework π€―

Why it works: an AI checking its own work has the same blind spots that caused the mistake. A different model was trained differently, so it catches what the first one walked right past. Same reason writers need editors βοΈ
