do you need secure fast compute? | hotaisle.xyz/

We’ve built a platform that lets you provision high-performance $AMD MI300x compute almost instantly, on demand and without contracts. Once you can do that, starting and stopping access to GPUs becomes trivial. Our CLI is now installable via apt on Ubuntu, which makes it easy to integrate Hot Aisle directly into CI pipelines or agentic workflows. The flow looks like this: Install the CLI tool Start a VM with cloud-init to auto-install your software Run your workload Stop the VM No manual steps. Fully automated. Pay for what you use. github.com/hotaisle/hotaisle…

there will be signs
I am very much on the AMD trail now.

the novel part is that this is not commodity hardware. it is renting out super computers, which is not something that was previously done, and has its own sets of complexities and costs.
The neocloud business model is the oldest and most time tested model in history. You buy assets, and you rent them out. Economics will normalize once supply and demand find equilibrium, but power constraints, accelerating compute demand, and existing shortage won't allow that to happen for some time imo. Cost of capital will come down over time with more supporting data. Just seems like a novel business rn, but its not.

Being loud is free. Being right in public, over and over, with your name on it, is the only credential that compounds. Your Persona will allow that to happen. Everything else is just reach.

sophisticated attacks isn't an excuse for poor security practices.
I’ve seen a lot of people dunking on @thdxr and @opencode, and I needed to say something. Frankly, I don’t think anyone understands how sophisticated these attacks are. These aren't script kiddies doing this after school. These are state actors, with real companies fueling the fire. One of the bigger companies behind distillation has 4 office locations worldwide, and there are a number of companies that are entirely fronts for distillation. You’ve probably seen their ads. Some have raised venture. I’ve personally seen messages claiming they bought over $5 million in inference for distillation. They’ve gone so far as to recruit people close to the model labs for better access, and the dollars flowing through the distillation ecosystem are in the 9 figures. These attacks offer a huge economic incentive. These aren't fly-by-night operations. At Vectoral we've see relays offering affiliate programs, net 30 invoicing for enterprises, and strict SLAs. Together, the top relays get tens of millions of visitors per month. Frankly, they are more sophisticated than most SAAS companies. The sad reality is that things likely only get worse from here. We are at war for global AI hegemony.

"Space Bunny 🐰, which processed more than 200 trillion tokens while operating anonymously, was an early version of MiniMax M3.1 Flash." Settles that.

"analysts" are removed from reality. the reason why analysts exist is because businesses are too conservative to publish this sort of information themselves. it is how this industry has worked for decades now and everyone just accepts it. however, when you get down to the people actually doing the work and making the sales, you find a whole different reality...

All I know is its amazing how much conversation I am having in the federal space about AMD GPUs. Small potatoes, but one customer is considering 12 Helios and hearing the back log to get those 12 is a long ways out.

People were a bit confused on Sunday when I showed 99.6%. As you can see, it starts at 100% on Monday and then goes down from there. So, by Sunday, we will know the exact difference. 20160-20075.8=84.2 gpu hours unused. That's ok to have a few hours unused because we need to have some availability for new customers to find compute, otherwise they just go away and never come back. Now that we are at the top of utilization, we're actually slowing down with fewer paying customers MoM because of being full. Hence my constant shitposting for funding. Over time, we will die if we can't get more compute, so now is the time to go get it... hotaisle.xyz/investors/

Been awhile since I've traded options, but I couldn't resist selling a $CRWV PUT at 58. Thanks for the free money and I'll be happy to own the stock at these prices.

nice to see Ed finally admitting that containers were a bad idea. ;-)

First, Flex VMs, Shadeform’s own VM product. With it, we can integrate any bare metal GPU capacity, regardless of the datacenter and architecture, and have it earning on our platform within 30 minutes.

If a tech analyst forms an opinion based on something that turns out to be fake news, should they post a retraction?

The thing is, those of us that build with security in mind. We’re sat here watching the weakest being picked off. Knowing very well that no matter how secure you are, once the eazy ones have been nuked. We’re the next sport. That’s why you gotta stay ahead and make your architecture and business able to withstand. Because shit always happens. Always.

Published another version of oj-hn.com today. Fixed some performance issues and upgraded all the dependencies. If you read HackerNews in a browser, this really makes the experience a little sweeter, without getting in the way. Free, open source, no tracking or weirdness.

Curious if this sends your data back to China or not…
This Huawei MateBook Fold feels impossibly futuristic. A 18" screen when fully unfolded, folds down to the size of a magazine, and even runs a Linux-derived OS. But we clearly need to get @omarchy running on this!

Why would anyone join a developer program when $AMD refuses to invest in us? How are they ever going to get access to their hardware? @LisaSu
Shobha joined the AMD AI Developer Program to put her belief in open infrastructure for the agentic AI era into practice. By building with AMD Instinct GPUs and the ROCm software stack, she's exploring how multi-agent AI workloads can be orchestrated, optimized, and made more resilient in real-world environments. Explore Shobha's project and how she's putting AMD technology into practice: lnkd.in/eafr8DGR What is she excited to build next? Shobha is exploring AI-assisted ROCm troubleshooting, telemetry-driven observability, intelligent inference routing, and self-healing AI agents that can detect issues and trigger automated remediation. Her goal is to help make AI infrastructure more performant, resilient, and operationally efficient on AMD GPUs. Want your project featured? TensorWave did a deal with FRMI that was so bad, they had to get AMD to backstop it. Keep that short open.
After the IPO we shorted: $CBRS (closed) $SPCX (closed) $FRMI (still short) Please, please keep having VC pump up the pre ipo valuations of companies in this system.
