This affects not only NI but Scotland and the other 2 Nations.
“The Brake is in response to new EU customs rules which threaten to deepen trade barriers between Great Britain and Northern Ireland”.
NI is responsible for 25% of the UK food supply. The food and drink sector in Northern Ireland is now an £8.4 billion industry employing 113,000 people, and each year it feeds 10 million people.
To put that in context, Northern Ireland makes up just 3% of the UK population, yet is responsible for 25% of the nation’s food supply.
By comparison, Britain only produces sufficient food to feed 40 million of the UK’s 70 million population.

At midnight 3rd Nov in 2001 a Proud and Distinguished Police Force was laid to rest, sacrificed to legitimise decades of criminal activities and wanton Terrorist Violence from both sides of the sectarian Divide in Northern Ireland. As the years have passed the good name of a Proud and Professional Force has been Vilified and Sacrificed in the name of Peace, yet only those who served and their families know the meaning of real Sacrifice. In this month of Remembrance let us not forget all our Colleagues who made the Ultimate Sacrifice.

I urged the Chief Constable to provide regular updates on the Garvaghy Road investigation, as with other public order cases: numbers identified, interviewed, charged or reported to the PPS. Public confidence requires transparency and accountability, without fear or favour.
The PSNI has issued an update on its investigation re Garvaghy Rd protests.
▪️30 police officers on the case
▪️70 hours of recorded material is being examined
▪️60 identified suspects
▪️18 people have been interviewed with files being prepared before submission to the PPS

A murder witnessed by about 70 people who saw nothing.
Did community back the McCartney family, no. They backed the IRA.
