Good morning, Martha started off by trying to keep Jesus from removing the stone by saying “Lord he already stinks”. What Martha didn’t know is those the moment Jesus will show up. When people say “THIS STINKS! Another way Martha tried to keep Jesus from removing the stone was telling Jesus it has been four days since Lazarus had died. In those times they believed that the spirit stayed in the body for three days, so this is why Jesus waited four days to go raise Lazarus from the dead, so no one could disclaim the miracle of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. Jesus telling Martha to believe is what makes us christians. It isn’t how long we pray, knowing the Bible, going to church, shouting or doing good deeds. It’s our faith in the Lord. It’s our trials and tribulations that should strengthen our faith. Remembering moments, such as Moses at the Red Sea, Daniel in the lion den, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the blazing furnace. Better yet the same God that open doors before can open doors again! The last part I noticed was Jesus honoring God before he raised Lazarus from the dead, so that God is glorified. Remember when God does what man think is impossible to give God the glory because just like Lazarus when you feel like others have thrown dirt on you and closed the casket. Call on the name of Jesus and come out shouting. For our lives are TESTimonies for ourselves and others. When we pass the TEST we receive testIMONIES. Testimonies should encourage others and motivate us. Remembering God is the same God he was yesterday, today and forever more. JOHN11:38-44
