Curiosity leads to Opinion. Semi-retired American nuclear engineer relocated to the Philippines.

Panglao, Philippines
Uranium detected in Philippines @uranium First indication of uraninite was detected in the Philippines from a 180 kg sample that contained 244 parts per million of uranium, along with 0.57% copper, 0.49% molybdenum and 13.5% iron. Benefaction techniques were also prototyped. This was just a surface sample and no core drilling has been conducted yet. Probably not another Cigar Lake but might become commercial. Recent changes to Philippine mining and processing policies may increase the commercial attractiveness of this find. The Philippines also seems to be getting serious about a nuclear power program so the internal demand scenario is another driver. pnri.dost.gov.ph/index.php/2…

Had my popular comment hit with a complaint of "violent speech" and its visibility restricted. It simply asked that the Paris Louvre be protected no matter what and compared the situation to the final burning of the Library at Alexandria in 642 AD per Wikipedia. Someone complained, I suspect, because I mentioned who claimed credit (Wiki said by "Arab sources".) I appealed but X denied the appeal. The staff at X made a mistake and supported the deliberate suppression of a valid point about past and present Muslim cultural hostility and vandalism. Remember what the Taliban did to statues of Buddha in Afghanistan circa 2001? My position remains - the use of lethal force to protect the cultural treasures in the Louvre is a duty we owe to our posterity. For 1400 years we have bemoaned the lost of the Library and the knowledge and wisdom contained there. And if the French government and people won't protect their own Louvre then international intervention is justified.

Today's news brings that Macron has authorized his paramilitary forces to protect the Louvre at all costs. At least that's the first news I've heard.

I’ll tell you what, we’re having an earthqua—” On this day, October 17, 1989, a massive 6.9 earthquake struck San Francisco during the live broadcast of the World Series. Does anyone remember watching this unfold live? Incredible footage of announcers Al Michaels and Tim McCarver maintaining their composure, unsure if they were even still on the air. The series, played between Bay Area rivals Oakland A’s and San Francisco Giants, would forever be remembered as the “Earthquake Series.

My latest for the Counterlawfare Institute. The most disturbing thing about Slotkin’s remarks is how normalized lawfare has become. A brazen assault on democracy is now just routine political strategy, without a hint of compunction or fear of consequences. counterlawfare.org/research/…

BTW- I will not pay to boost this post. Why should I pay X to complain more broadly about a poor decision made by X? That would create the wrong incentive.

California Tax Foundation just tallied it. Newsom and the Legislature approved $14.3 BILLION a year in new taxes and fees. 67 increases. Digital software tax. Health plan tax. Business credits cut. Affordability, huh? Vote Hilton.

WE AUDITED ALL 58 FOREIGN-BORN FEDERAL JUDGES SITTING ON AMERICA'S BENCH FOR LIFE. I spent over a billion tokens and about 45 days on this deep dive. Through this deep dive and the over a million court cases we have combed through, we have launched an American First Index (AFI) for the site. (More on it as we improve the metrics and refine deeper.) Out of 58 sitting foreign-born Article III judges, 43 were appointed by Biden or Obama. Among those drawn from ACLU and public defender pipelines, border enforcement is blocked over 80% of the time and 60% of criminal sentences fall below federal guidelines. We have added an interactive tool on bench receipts that allows you to drill down and look at how each of these judges behave on the bench. This is just the start. The federal judges are easier to identify than the state level judges. I assume there are 100s if not 1000+ foreign born or first-gen American on our benches. They do not judge on our laws, they judge on the culture they came from. This is a huge reason our country has lost its identity.

If you still think these people in any way care about "affordability" or the price of gas, think again. Democrats care about one thing and one thing only: Absolute power at all cost.

I honestly do not understand how any American who is not already a literal Communist or a literal Jihadist could vote Democrat after hearing what Slotkin said below. This is LITERALLY totalitarianism. It's not the fake "fascism" the Left likes to accuse the Right of, it is the REAL THING. Undeniably. Irrefutably. This is a sitting member of Congress who was in the CIA saying that dissent from what she believes will result in imprisonment. This is straight out of Solzhenitsyn. Straight out of Orwell. This is something an early Nazi would have said in 1932 under the Weimar Republic. Please please PLEASE share her words with everyone you know. The Democrat/Media Complex will try to bury this. It is up to us on social media, on blogs and via texts and emails to get the word out. The only way to stop these monsters is to make sure that voters who don't really keep up on politics understand the actual threat, see it with their own eyes and hear it with their own ears. Please. Spread the word to anyone who will listen. And even those who won't listen.

We didn’t ask you to remove them from your list. We asked you to sequester their ballots so a judge can decide whether they may be counted. As warned yesterday, processing a noncitizen’s ballot violates federal law. Go read 18 USC 611 and 2.
From the United States Election Assistance Commission's Best Practices for List Maintenance - "HAVA also clarified Congress’s intent in the NVRA that a voter cannot be removed from a voter registration list for the sole reason that they did not vote." -- eac.gov/sites/default/files/…

Now this is one benefit that has a product application. The +1G suction and auto-driving could reduce the floor space required for parking... However, the curved ramp shown here would need more foot print than saved in actual parking unless your car had zero front and rear overhang. Note that cars have had suction fans since at least Jim Hall's 1970 Chaparral 2J.
How the fuck would you get out of your car

Democrat politicians’ most fervently shared desire is to make America into a violent third world slum. Whether it’s Sherrod Brown or Talafreako or Ossoff, they will always support any and every policy that makes your town more like Mogadishu. It has become the Democrat religion.
