Our Special Forces are among the best in the world. If we continue to harangue them through the courts on the word of our enemies, we will cripple their ability to defend us. I raised this point with @JuliaHB1 on @TalkTV earlier today.

The creator of the 'Palestine poppy' is an Oxford-educated paediatrician who has written books for Muslim teenagers justifying stoning and warning that homosexuality is 'a test from Allah'. Abdul Qader Ismail was accused of trying to 'hijack' Remembrance Day after he began selling an enamel pin shaped like a poppy in the colours of the Palestinian flag for £1.78 on eBay. The pin is listed as 'not for profit' with money being donated to Gaza charities. The Spectator can now reveal that Ismail is an active member of Greens for Palestine and co-sponsored the group's 'Zionism is Racism' policy. He is also the author of a book series titled An Introduction to Challenging Topics for Muslim Teens. ✍️ Noa Hoffman Article | spectator.com/article/reveal… | @hoffman_noa

What should the punishment be for people who do this? Hopefully this will be next on @andyBurnham's To Do list to tackle everyday annoyances.

He is putting satirists out of work. I'm just not sure how to come up with something better to demonstrate how unsuitable he is for the moment. A policy that you should be able to choose the toy in your Happy Meal rather than putting it down to chance?

Ah. So they DO have a line you can’t cross. Same thing in any classroom or school. There is always a line. The question is where you draw it. The Louvre is where France chose to draw the line.
French police warned protesters: "If you approach the Louvre Museum in Paris, we will open fire!"

Hang this tweet in the Louvre.* *Before they burn it down.

If you are a journalist looking for a tweet in which Sarah Helm, wife of Labour’s National Security Advisor Jonathan Powell, questions whether victims of Hamas’s October 7 attacks were raped, then you need look no further. She did so two months afterwards in December 2023
It is certainly puzzling that not a single Israeli rape victim has given their own testimony on this. If they were all shot dead this would explain it of course but there would be forensic post mortem evidence. If victims were then taken hostage obv they could not speak.

I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to sit down with the Prime Minister @andyburnham alongside other young people for LADbible’s Agree to Disagree, having some serious conversations but also some more lighthearted and fun ones! I think it’s so important to show that even when you disagree with someone’s politics, you can still sit down, have a proper conversation, laugh together and find things you have in common. This was such a huge milestone for me personally, and I genuinely had so much fun filming it! I’d really encourage everyone to watch the full video, regardless of your politics. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed being part of it! piped.video/ASNrYa91i2s?si…

Sarah Helm, wife of the UK national security adviser Jonathan Powell, has far worse social media than was reported at the weekend. She's compared Israel to the Nazis; defended Hamas; and questioned reports of their mass rape. Me for the Spectator. spectator.com/article/reveal…
