APPLE'S NEW CEO SHOUTS OUT DEPED FOR 'BIGGEST EDUCATION DEAL' FOR MACBOOK NEO
Apple’s biggest education deal ever for Mac is with the Philippines’ Department of Education, which will deploy 170,000 MacBook Neos to teachers and staff, its CEO John Ternus said.
Ternus disclosed the deal during Apple’s earnings call on Monday, November 2, as the company reported Mac revenue of $10.8 billion, up 24% from a year ago.
"As one example, we recently secured our biggest education deal ever for Mac, with the Department of Education in the Philippines," Ternus said.
"They’re going to deploy 170,000 MacBook Neos to teachers and staff. Opportunities like this bring more users into our ecosystem and help fuel growth across our business," he added.
Apple Chief Financial Officer Kevan Parekh said the Mac revenue growth was driven by the strength of the MacBook Neo and MacBook Pro.
