Sorry, but a top-ranked unbeaten team can’t drop two spots coming off a four-touchdown win over a quality opponent. AIA seriously needs to look at adding a human element to these ratings.
In a shocking development, Willcox went from No. 1 to No. 3 in the 2A despite beating Tanque Verde 34-7 last night. Now, the teams are aligned in the 2A state bracket announced today. No. 14 Tanque Verde could return to Willcox in the second round Nov. 6 if it gets past No. 19 Phoenix Cortez in the first round Friday.

Bingo. I’ve been trying to figure this out all season.
The 2A rankings are heavily driven by S.O.S. which is determined by your opponents W/L records. 3A still has another week of regular season FB. Many 2A teams played 3A games.
Wouldn't that have an impact on some of the closer ranked 2A teams.
