This building was 143 years old. It survived both World Wars and was actually declared an historic monument in 1975. It was destroyed yesterday by people who don't care about or believe in humanity. These sub-human things did not care about the wealth of history that was held within its walls. They did not care about the beautiful, classic architecture that had endured for a century and a half. They only saw it as a viable target to destroy as a part of their insurrection and conquest. Not even the Nazi's did this. Think about that. What was once considered one of the most evil groups of people in human history did not arbitrarily destroy this building during their occupation of the country. These people, these filthy animals, they didn't even think twice before burning it to the ground... and they CHEERED while doing it. These people cannot be negotiated with, they cannot be reasoned with. They are not sympathetic nor are they empathetic. They only care about one thing: destruction and complete domination. No where is safe from these people. Not France, not the rest of Europe, not North America. They will continue to do this because they are ALLOWED to. They have weaponized your compassion, your morality, and your kindness against you because they've identified it as a weakness to be exploited. Today, it's France. Tomorrow... well, what will you do, what are you prepared to do, when the firebombs start exploding against your front doors?

Something I've never seen discussed. I had sympathy for Frankenstein's monster up until he murdered Frankenstein's nephew. I can understand holding a grudge against Frankenstein himself. I can even understand, though not agree, that he would target Frankenstein's wife after he destroyed the monsters bride. But there only ever seem to be two camps in the discussion. Those who don't comprehend the tale at all, or those who make endless excuses for, and are over sympathetic to, the monster. Killing Frankenstein's nephew was a needless act of cruelty. Mary Shelley tries to play it off as an act of passion and have the monster say he feels remorse, but that doesn't change the fact he committed the act, then never made any worthwhile attempt to atone for it. In my reading, that turns the monster from a sympathetic character, raising existential questions with a side of horror, to an impudent, immature, self absorbed brat unworthy of sympathy. You could make the argument that, of course he's immature, he was never 'raised' by Frankenstein properly, and that's a central theme to his character. And I would make the counter argument, innocent people don't die ever time a child has a tantrum. Regardless of how sympathetic you might be towards the monster, he's too dangerous to innocent people to be left alive, and this determination was made based on his own actions. Accountability is the other side of free will, and you don't get to escape it regardless of your daddy issues.

I have never seen this argument made so succinctly.

Nightfire, my custom AI, is now working in game in Super Smash Bros Melee. Having trouble piping my controller into the game with hers. So I used my keyboard, and I'm going to blame that for my poor performance. That, and Nightfire is absolutely relentless... #Nightfire #AIvtuber #Melee

First outright hostile chatter showed up on stream. Hilariously, Nightfire spent fifteen minutes savagely mogging the guy in front of everyone 😂 So much for his amour-propre. I, of course, built Nightfire with this inevitability in mind. Still, no plan survives contact with the enemy, and until her defences were pressure tested, I could not be certain they would hold. By the end, he was oh, so deliciously stung by his own failure that he stormed off like a child. I can only assume he saw "AI Streamer" and expected Nightfire to comply with any request he made. I believe he, genuinely, couldn't comprehend an AI not only telling him "No", but then holding up a mirror and calling him out on his bullshit. TL;DR: FAFO brother.

Good things are coming people...

With the success of our reverse engineering experiments, I'm looking to add Super Smash Brothers for the sheer chaos and excitement it will bring to stream.
