128gb, no ProMotion, no significant tweaking to iPadOS for this size display, and $699 starting price is just not gonna work.
Looks like this is going to be a week of Apple press releases, starting today with the new OLED iPad Mini

- "Acoustic display" instead of speaker grilles

- N1 and C2 chips
- Starting at $699 (+$200 from last gen)
My take: WAY better screen, WAY better chip, so a very welcome refresh. Very curious to try this audio system. but also I can't find any mention of 120Hz or ProMotion on the website, so.... 60Hz?

Two little glass bars: one around the camera for statuses, one at the bottom for app controls.
Apps get the full width of the screen. Controls stay under your thumb. Thoughts?

Just saying, Tesla probably only exists now because of DOE loans, and SpaceX exists because of subsidies and contracts plus NASA technology
So really this is a win for taxpayer funding of arts and science allowing private companies to make incredible things in America
