Actually, do not delete your fics when the archive comes back on. Private them but don't take them off the site. Once deleted it becomes infinitely more difficult to prove authorship and thus more difficult to protect against scrapers, thieves, plagiarizers and the like

Fanfic authors, please be aware there is a website 👉 ao3.life that is scraping fics from Ao3 and turning them into Ai audiobooks and selling them for profit
They have an option to have your fics taken down but from what I’m seeing you have to provide personal info to “prove” the fanfics are yours to begin with (giving, phishing scam) and they claim they pay the authors, which is both untrue and ILLEGAL
Nearly all my fanfics are on here I’m genuinely shaking I’m so pissed like what the FUCK is wrong with people 😭😭😭

Anne Rice traumatized communities FOR YEARS, she wasn’t just vocal about hating fanfics. She literally took down the whole The Vampire Chronicles from fanfic.net 😭 literally the event was called "the spec writers massacre"
