YOU saw it as a perfect body shot - but the ref, multiple ring officials, hundreds of media members, and millions of fans around the world - saw it as a low blow. Again, bottom line, the ref ruled it low. Per the rules of boxing (check the ABC site), the belt line is at the naval or hip bone. Dubois was living dangerously, went down there multiple times, and the ref made a ruling in real time. Brother, we have seen far more controversial calls in boxing within the past MONTH, let alone the last year or decade. Nobody was "robbed" here, that's just ridiculous.

I don't understand all the "I miss boxing before Turki got involved" talk I'm seeing on my timeline. You all act like the late 2010's thru early 2020's were loaded with nonstop great fights...
HBO got out of boxing in 2018, Showtime (which had basically been an exclusively PPV platform post COVID) in 2023 and ESPN two years later. Turki didn't have a damn thing to do with any of that.

The #NFL is back so I’m trying to watch a few games, but most of these QBs are so mediocre. They’ve dumbed down the position so much for whatever reason; MAYBE 10 of these guys would be starters in the 80’s - 00’s (and that’s being generous). It’s a tougher watch every season.

Was flipping thru the channels last night and saw "Falling Down", so I checked it out for the hundredth time. This movie is over 30 years old yet it's still unbelievably relevant. If it came out today, it would be widely viewed a top 3 film of the year. But in the 90's, an era of incredible filmmaking, it felt like "just another good movie". We didn't realize how spoiled we were back then; we got bangers every month and $4 bought you a movie ticket. The attention to detail, the amount of thought that went into every aspect of the storytelling, the willingness to develop characters that felt authentic and real... it's all largely forgotten in Hollywood today.

Charlie Kirk was going to be the POTUS on day. But more than that, he was going to continue being a positive socio-political influence over the next half century. Charlie was the greatest single threat to the Establishment(Left)'s agenda; that's why they had to eliminate him. Sadly, over the past year, millions of Leftists have continued to defame him and make fun of his murder. Even sadder, a handful of influencers have used his death to profiteer off baseless conspiracy theories to the tune of million$. Saddest of all, the coalition that Kirk helped build (Conservatives, Independents, Libertarians, Classical Liberals, Disaffected Democrats, etc.) has all but fallen apart since the Left killed him. That was their ultimate goal, and they have certainly achieved it. Our society will pay the price in the years to come. One day in the future, we may very well look back at the time of his assassination as the last vestiges of our basic civil liberties like free speech, body autonomy and social equality. The way people responded to the events of 10-Sept-2025 revealed a lot about who they are.
