Helping everyday Americans understand and use crypto with confidence. Real stories, practical guidance, and clarity you can trust.

Would you be more likely to bank somewhere that offers access to crypto? 🏦 About 112 million Americans say they would. Yet about 168 million say no one at their bank, credit union, or advisor’s office has brought it up yet. Consumers are ready for that conversation. Our new Crypto at the Bank report with @HarrisPoll shows what they want to know, and from whom: nca.org/2026-crypto-at-the-b…

🚨 Today NCA submitted comments to @SECGov on its proposed Regulation Crypto Assets, which would create new ways for crypto projects to raise money. Half of new-offering participants reported losing money in the past 12 months to hacks, abandoned projects, or fraud. Much of this activity happens through unfiled sales and offshore structures. The status quo is not sustainable, and holders are asking for a fix: about 8 in 10 say clear SEC rules would increase their confidence. Read the full letter: assets.ctfassets.net/z013ked…

How is a stabletoken backed? It depends on who issues it. 💵 Some stabletokens are backed by a mix of assets. @WyoStable’s FRNT keeps it simple: for every token, at least $1 in reserves is held in a trust account. That’s a separate account the State of Wyoming manages on behalf of token holders, kept apart from other state funds and used only to back FRNT and pay out when people redeem it. What if a digital dollar could help fund public schools? In Wyoming, it already does. 🏫 The interest earned on reserves backing Wyoming’s FRNT stabletoken helps fund the state’s public schools. Every token is backed by U.S. dollars and short-term U.S. Treasuries, kept in a separate account set aside just for that purpose, and every day, the public can see a report confirming those reserves are there. @heystephchan, Enterprise Project Manager and Deputy Director at the @WyoStable Commission, explains how it works. Hear more in a new episode of Crypto, Explained, out Wednesday everywhere you listen.

📣 Today NCA submitted comments to @USTreasury on its proposed GENIUS Act rules for payment stablecoins. Stablecoins are becoming part of everyday life for consumers and businesses. Our comments focus on protecting holders as the new rules take effect: giving them time to redeem, sell, or convert their stablecoins if their legal status changes, making sure stolen funds could be returned to victims, and keeping self-custody and peer-to-peer transfers protected. You don't have to buy a whole coin to get into crypto. Instead you can buy pieces of it, which is called fractionalization. 🪙 Owning just part of a coin is completely normal, the same way a dollar breaks down into cents. A related idea is tokenization. That's when something from the real world, like real estate or a share of a company, is turned into a digital token. Because tokens can be split up too, it can let people own a small piece of things that used to be out of reach. Learn more on the Crypto, Explained podcast: piped.video/watch?v=uq8PAeoV…

Is X Money a crypto product? 🤔 It's one of the most common questions since it launched in the U.S. this summer. The answer is no, at least not today. X Money is a digital wallet and payments app built into X for Premium subscribers. Once you sign up, you get a Visa debit card and free person-to-person transfers. Behind the scenes, it runs through a partner bank, so your balance is held in regular U.S. dollars. Now you know.

What does it signal when a crypto company goes public? Digital assets are becoming part of the same markets we’ve used for ages. Today, @evernorthxrp rang the @Nasdaq bell to celebrate its listing, bringing a company built around XRP into public markets - and marking another step in the modernization of finance. Congrats to the Evernorth team! 🥳
