Week #3 of building @NeuralMiles in public: Tele-operated an Excavator from our Office, Kilometres Away!!!
GTA in real life? We controlled an excavator using a real-time camera feed!
Progress:
a. Tele-operation over long distances
b. Latency and communications network benchmarking in progress
c. Talking to potential customers to understand their use-cases and concerns
d. Signing our real-site pilot deployment deal
This sets the platform to deploy virtual operators from anywhere on the globe, preventing project delays due to operator shortages while providing a safer, more comfortable environment for operators.
It’s a stepping stone towards our vision of autonomous excavators, making them capable of accepting commands over Internet and creating a data flywheel for future progression.
If the idea of safer operations and access to a global pool of operators for your project resonates with you, or could help anyone you know, we would love to connect! Our DMs are always open :)

Bengaluru-based NeuralMiles has made a full-scale excavator remotely operable with an Xbox controller in just seven days.
The startup also completed a digging-and-dumping cycle using the excavator, marking an early step towards automating heavy machinery used in construction and mining.

🚨 Bengaluru-based NeuralMiles (@NeuralMiles) made a full-scale excavator remotely operable with an Xbox controller within 7 days, then completed a digging-and-dumping cycle.
Their goal is to make excavators teleoperation-ready in under an hour, with full autonomy later.
For over a century, vehicles were built around a human driver. What happens when you take the human out?
At NeuralMiles, we are building autonomous native vehicles starting with mining sector, stripping away bulky redundancies to unlock raw efficiency.
