In the last 10 days I turned $100 into $260 trading BTC strike markets on Amplifi.
I had 20 trades, 19 wins and 1 liquidation. Almost all with 10x leverage.
Every trade I opened within 3 hours of expiry won. 12 out of 12.
The one liquidation I opened ~20 hours before expiry.
At 10x leverage, 2 hour exposure to volatility gives you 20-30% return.

Your backtest assumes the market didn't notice you.
@boardyai put me on a call with a quant I'd never met—he builds trading and execution strategies on Solana, I'm building leverage for prediction markets and graduated meme coins at Amplify. 25 minutes, mostly me asking how traders actually decide when to lever up.
The flow, roughly: backtest, then run it with a little money, then a lot of money, then a lot of money levered up.
Slippage on a single trade is easy. You can calculate how far you eat through the order book. What I kept coming back to is what happens after. Your data for the next second and the next day comes from a world where your trade never happened. In the real one, everyone else just saw a book you'd emptied, and they would have traded differently.
If you're small, that barely matters. If you're big and levered 100x on a thin market, you'd need to simulate every other participant. I haven't seen anyone do that well.
Thin liquidity came up again and again on the call, and he sees it across both prediction markets and perps. That's why Amplify screens every market on liquidity, depth and spread before offering leverage on it. It's also why the lending side runs with select partners who understand bad debt risk before we open it up widely.
