Get Britain drilling. The Conservatives fought for Jackdaw and Rosebank in government and have kept fighting for both in opposition. Our commitment to North Sea jobs and Britain’s energy security is clear. Our win in Aberdeen South with the irrepressible @DLumsden_MP showed the strength of support for our North Sea industry. People want it backed and their livelihoods protected. Approve Jackdaw. Approve Rosebank. Back new exploration and investment. The jobs are here. The resources are here. Labour must stop dithering and get Britain drilling.
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: get Britain drilling.

Something has gone badly wrong in this investigation. The fact that suspects were arrested, released and rearrested suggests a level of chaos.
🚨 BREAKING: Two men previously bailed over the RAF Fairford plot have been rearrested on suspicion of assisting Iran’s intelligence service One is a British-Iranian man aged 25 and the other is a British man aged 24

Polygamy is illegal in the UK. Yet our welfare system pays out benefits to multiple spouses. Conservatives @RicHolden helped introduce legislation to stop this today.

Today’s BBC Scotland announcements are difficult, especially for the staff affected. But these are the right decisions. The way people watch TV has changed. The BBC has to respond to that reality. It needs to spend licence fee payers’ money wisely, focus on quality journalism and programming, and stay relevant in Scotland. Keeping services going simply because they’ve always existed isn’t sensible. Difficult, yes, but necessary for a strong BBC.

💯 from Kemi. More tax is not the answer. A lesson for the SNP, as well as for Labour.
Britain has been taxed too much for too long. Andy Burnham’s answer? More tax. Conservatives will cut taxes, so you can keep more of what you earn.

For all the talk of an SNP U-turn, John Swinney failed to even mention oil and gas in his Conference speech and he still hasn't backed Jackdaw and Rosebank. @JohnSwinney will you ditch Nicola Sturgeon's anti-oil and gas agenda and back new North Sea drilling? 🌊🛢️

More Labour madness. With the threats facing Britain growing more serious by the day, we should be investing in our Armed Forces and strengthening our military capabilities, not cutting them. Training exercises are being cut back. Now £2 billion has been taken out of the Army's armoured vehicle programme, including plans for vital battlefield repair and recovery vehicles. Labour talks about strengthening our defences while cutting planned capabilities our soldiers may depend on in combat. Our Armed Forces need the equipment, training and resources to do the job we ask of them. Those must be priorities, not areas for cuts. telegraph.co.uk/politics/202…

The IRA were terrorists, not soldiers. Their campaign of murder and bombing was not a war of equals, and no amount of historical revisionism will ever make it so. Labour’s Northern Ireland Troubles Bill risks allowing the IRA to rewrite history while British veterans face the prospect of being dragged through investigations decades after serving their country. Where is the accountability for the IRA? Where are the answers from the Irish Government about those who fled across the border, the support they received and the supply of weapons? I served in the British Army. My friend, Captain Robert Nairac, was murdered by the IRA. His body has never been recovered. His family still deserves to know what happened to him and where he lies. The IRA cannot be allowed to portray its campaign of terror as justified by the Good Friday Agreement. Peace does not retrospectively legitimise murder. There is no moral equivalence between terrorists and those who served to uphold the law. This Bill is a betrayal of our veterans and of families still waiting for the truth.
“This is a terrible bill and a terrible act.” Iain Duncan Smith SLAMS the Troubles legacy bill, following the Northern Ireland Secretary’s insistence that it is not an amnesty for soldiers. @jkyleofficial @MPIainDS

Yet another pathetic display of dithering and indecision from the SNP. Mixed messages, endless delays and still no clear energy strategy. The last one was published in 2017. Now we discover there won't be an energy strategy until autumn 2027. A whole decade! You couldn't make this stuff up! And Swinney and his ministers still cannot give a straight answer on new oil and gas developments. Ten years without a new strategy. No clarity. No decisions. Meanwhile, Scottish jobs, investment and energy security are left in limbo. It's a no-brainer. Let's get Britain drilling. scotsman.com/news/politics/s…

Labour says it wants people in work. Yet it keeps making it more expensive to employ them. Job vacancies have plunged to their lowest level in five years. Businesses are thinking twice about recruiting. Young people are missing out. Labour piles taxes and regulations onto employers, threatens them with more of the same, then wonders why jobs are disappearing. You cannot tax and regulate your way to more jobs. And you cannot get people off welfare if there aren't jobs for them to go to. Only the Conservatives have a plan to get Britain working again. telegraph.co.uk/business/202…

Was a pleasure to join @KemiBadenoch today. Our veterans deserve more than Labour's lawfare.
Brilliant to stand with our veterans alongside @KemiBadenoch in Parliament Square against the Government’s Northern Ireland Troubles Bill. With two days of debate ahead of us, we will keep opposing Labour’s damaging lawfare. We will defend those who defended us.

Labour’s answer to everything? More tax. Ours? Back the businesses keeping our high streets alive and make it cheaper to give young people their first jobs.

France is in flames (yet he wants to rejoin the EU). Trump is selling out Ukraine, cosying up to Putin again A cost-of-living crunch is looming this winter, especially fuel bills. He still hasn’t told us how or when defence spending will reach 3% GDP. Inflation is rising once more, as are interest rates. Russian forces are threatening our infrastructure, especially undersea data and energy links. The Strait of Hormuz remains closed, our Gulf allies are under attack. And PM Burnham drivels about this!! It’s like the opening sketch from Saturday Night Live.
TikTok star Andy Burnham is back on TikTok displaying all his talents as an overblown local councillor, addressing the serious situation in Europe and how to stop the boats. Only kidding. He's talking about how to be good boys and girls on public transport. On TikTok 🤓👍
