Folk want Scottish Govt to function as if it has all the powers of a normal state, deny it that very thing, then complain when it doesn't.

In the latest Tribune, I have a long piece outlining why anti-imperialists should view the break up of the UK as best way to finally end the British Empire’s 400-year reign of terror I go through the military, intelligence and war-waging significance of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Conclusion: there is simply no way London could continue to play its central role in the imperial system without these territories - and the establishment know it SNP dominate Holyrood, Plaid Cymru is now largest party in the Senedd, while Sinn Féin is largest Northern Irish party in Stormont and Westminster. The reckoning is coming We should support independence for Scotland and Wales, as well as Irish reunification, on principle - and to give respite to the long-suffering victims of British power all over the globe. The break up of the union means the end of the empire Read it here: tribunemag.co.uk/2026/11/bre…

This is absolutely fascinating & cuts through all the Terfy nonsense. Why and how Sandy Peggie (who lost 46 out of 50 of her claims the Employment Tribunal SHE TOOK) lost all 6 of her claims against the RCN at appeal. WTAF was Naomi Cunningham doing?
Contradicted evidence, odd timelines, and ignored emails. Here are six of the key points the media missed in Sandie Peggie's latest tribunal ruling ⬇️

I don't think giving away someone else's land against their expressed wishes is anything to be proud of.
On this day 109 years ago today British foreign secretary Arthur Balfour sent a letter to Lord Rothschild, a leading member of the UK's Jewish community, expressing the British government's support for the establishment of a Jewish national homeland in Israel. It laid the foundation for the eventual end of the British Mandate of Palestine and the establishment of the State of Israel. This article from the declaration's centenary explains how the Labour party already supported its aims months before it was written: labourlist.org/2017/10/why-l…

Imagine calling the EU pro-capitalist, pro-imperialist, while supporting staying in the British state.
Excl: Scots Labour MP Brian Leishman has warned Andy Burnham against rejoining the "pro-capitalist, pro-imperialist" EU. The Alloa and Grangemouth MP revealed he voted Leave in 2016 - making him the only Scots Labour MP to have publicly backed Brexit. scotsman.com/news/politics/s…
