The phrase "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity" has no weight in Britain because the powerful people in this country are equal parts malicious *and* stupid

Nothing says “I’m the satirist society needs right now” like having Jonathan Greenblatt spring to your defense.
My friend @SachaBaronCohen has spent years confronting hate and disinformation, and @ADL is proud of all the work we've done together. In a world where lies spread faster than facts, that work matters more than ever.   No artist should be pressured, blacklisted or silenced over their Jewish identity. And Jewish artists shouldn’t be subjected to ideological litmus tests.   Thank you, Sacha, for continuing to speak out against hate while making us laugh along the way.

Bruno (2009) labeled Ayman Abu Aita as Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade 'terrorist group leader.' The Palestinian Christian activist denied it, claimed he was misled into the interview, and sued Cohen for ~$110M defamation; settled confidentially in 2012. nypost.com/2012/07/19/fal… theguardian.com/world/2009/dec…

There was a moment in popular culture where Sacha Baron Cohen was a beloved comedian and actor, and the fork in the road arrived after his great performance in Tim Burton's SWEENEY TODD. Dude showed some great new chops; singing and drama. The road *could* have been more dramatic Oscar-level roles, but instead, the choice was returning to the well with Borat and Ali G over and over despite deminishing returns each time - and I'll never understand why.

Britain’s top-selling far right politics magazine telling its audience broadcasters, officials and political leaders are plotting in secret to kill them and their loved ones. What conclusions does Dougie here want readers to draw about What Must Now Be Done?

Turning Point UK CEO Jack Ross is fucked. He's on camera acting as a middleman, connecting people who want to pay someone to kill another person.

On this, the morning after Sebastian Payne was knocked out in the first round of the selection contest for the Chelsea & Fulham Tory nomination, it's worth updating the map of constituencies where Seb has unsuccessfully applied.

Feature not a bug sadly
Genuinely baffles me that people are allowed to go on television and be billed as impartial political commentators while no mention is made of the fact they’ve been desperately trying to become a Conservative MP for years.
