If this seat decides Senate control it’ll allow Trump to appoint a young conservative to replace Alito and maybe another to replace Thomas—locking in GOP control of SCOTUS for a generation. I’d love to hear what @HaleyforMI thinks about her fiancé prioritizing his personal grievances over those considerations.

Shocking stuff from the Washington Post: Michele Tafoya publicly attacked a woman who experienced a miscarriage, calling her an “attention seeking drama queen” who “was not tough enough.” “In an interview, Guerrero said Tafoya, whom she had never met, did not contact her before or after making the remarks.” washingtonpost.com/politics/…

this poll has a Republican leaning sample btw lol
Minnesota Senate: 🔵 Flanagan 48% (+4) 🔴 Tafoya 44% @VictoryPolling/@Michele_Tafoya 🔴 Internal Poll, 1,194 LV, 10/21-22

broadly agree with this. I do think the sample is too Democratic and too college educated, which definitely inflated Flanagan's numbers a bit but with that being said, that only really tells me its Flanagan+9 and not Flanagan+14
I love @Nate_Cohn. One of the greats. But like this looks more like a weighting issue I think. The non-D/R leaned PID is only at 6% when it should probably be like 8 or 10. D share too inflated. You also only have 13% HS or less for education when it's supposed to be a quarter.

NOW we know why...
i do find it interesting that pollsters (real and fake) dont ever have Tafoya at a number any higher than like, 45%. no one wants to commit themselves to it.

no guys its fine, Trump is doing the same thing that Obama did before one of the most historic wave elections in American history
FWIW, in the lead up to 2010 & 2014 Midterms, Obama campaigned in places like Illinois, Connecticut, & Rhode Island. Historically, it’s normal for incumbent presidents to get the vote out in home field states, too! 🗳️🙌🇺🇸

In Minneapolis, which Flanagan's campaign notes was the "heart of Operation Metro Surge," early voter turnout last week hit 101% of equivalent 2024 turnout.

Day 28/Day 7 (weeklong) of Minneapolis Early Voting. Despite the weather, turnout has passed 16% of registered voters. It crossed 50% of all 2024 early voters and continues to trend like 2024.

I try to avoid criticizing other pollsters much nowadays, but this is ridiculous. This is basically just what you do if you don't believe your polls and don't have the guts to stand by your numbers. Democrats aren't doing 7% worse with likely voters in 2026.
Marist just released its final poll of Maine—& they're doubling down on their now-trademark gap between registered & likely voters. —Jackson leads Collins 49% to 47% among LVs. —He's up 53% to 44% among RVs. (Marist's poll 3 weeks ago had Jackson leading 51/47 among RVs.)

Democrats aren't going to underperform by 7 points among likely voters relative to registered voters, especially in a year where D turnout is likely to be fairly high by every available measure. Jackson +9 also seems unlikely, but this is two wrongs making a (maybe?) right.

I'd remind pollsters that the Silver Bulletin pollster ratings include a significant penalty for herding toward the average.

Hey Dan, I know you’re probably super busy trying to set up your next (doomed) campaign. But if you (or your sycophantic consultants) spent like five seconds doing some due diligence you would have found that his campaign disavowed this ad several hours before you posted this.
If @AbdulElSayed truly means what he says about treating the Jewish community as he would treat his own children, then he would immediately condemn this dangerous ad as outrageously antisemitic and demand that it be taken down. If not, then he’s full of shit.

Can’t even begin to imagine the reasoning here, but obviously quite funny that this observation only comes after the Lula & Student List wins yesterday, and not any of the internationalized right wing victories of the past year
Earnest take: I think it’s probably not healthy for the practice of democratic self-government that so many people have developed strong rooting interests in elections in countries they don’t live in.

Minnesotans know that you get what you organize for. President Obama knows that too. We stood up to Donald Trump once. On November 3rd, let’s do it again.

The right simply doesn't recognize any election it doesn't win as legitimate. In their soggy, conspiracy addled brains, the right can't be beaten, only cheated here and everywhere. Unfortunately this is just a feature of modern politics now, and there's a whole garbage ecosystem to support it that includes media organizations and nonprofits. It's simply a fact of life now that we have to deal with this every single time an election doesn't go their way.

Wow that’s very interesting. You know what else is interesting? Red Eagle’s pollster, SoCal Strategies, was producing fake polls as part of an insider trading operation and Red Eagle has not publicly disclosed if he knew about this or not
The polls were wrong and underestimated the unpopular incumbent party? The markets were mispriced? Wow…imagine that being possible! On an unrelated note, pray for Brazil. And more importantly, for America.
