Maybe if TERFs didn't use such silly phrases as "lifelong medical pathway" that is completely at odds with the medical profession, people might consider what you're saying.

if there is 40 years of great data on the use of puberty blockers, isn't it so very odd that the adult gender clinics resisted with all their might any sharing of the outcomes of the 9K children referred to the Tavistock? One might almost assume that outcomes must be very poor indeed.
There is no evidence that would satisfy people who do not want transgender people to exist. 40 years of data on puberty blockers. There is no surgery for children as you know.

I care about children who are subjected to irreversible and unevidenced medical or surgical intervention to support an adult delusion of ‘transition’.
The criminal law will deal with those who assault, rape or apply electrodes to adults who wish to ‘transition’. I agree that adults have the freedom to wreck their own lives as they wish, so long as they remain within the law.
So you admit it then, you don't give a toss about conversion practices unless it gets in the way of your ideology.

No child should ever undergo medical or surgical transition. Not a single one. When they are adult they can decide what they do.
Which scenario do you fear, that someone might transition and be supported, or that attempts to bock someone's transition might not be allowed?

1/ This article by the Equalities Minister Bridget Phillipson is downright misleading. What is said about the law is unreliable, it confuses civil statutes for criminal ones and it completely ignores the principles of statutory constructions in crime. I explain why here:
Look at Bridget Phillipson's language here: a bill that 'allows people to be their true selves', to 'live openly and safely as themselves', that criminalises someone who tries to 'change who someone is'.
The Conversion Practices bill applies in the case of a child who says they're the opposite sex. Think about that.
Apply Phillipson's thinking to the parent of a four year-old boy who says 'mummy, I'm really a girl'.
Or to the parent of a teenage girl who is screaming 'I'm not your daughter I'm your son, you bigot!'
By trying to present the bill as completely reasonable 'common sense measures' Phillipson has only succeeded in exposing its ideological basis. Her language is pure trans activism.

Ok. Change it to 16 year old girl. In one case I did both girl and father lied to the court and were getting testosterone outside NHS. Mother objected. Took it to court. Is this a conversion practice? Court were worried - Court of Appeal agreed court could have oversight to 18. Is court guilty of conversion practice?
This is the sort of evil games TERFs play. No 12 year old girl is given testosterone, this is designed to outrage the weak minded and stir up trans hate.

But also, if they tried to trans a kid then they could be in trouble as, transing kids was one of the issues you lot complain about all the time but now suddenly you don’t….
This law would stop people doing that, but you don’t seem to be happy about that.

The impact assessment on the Bill promises savings of £700k in Mental Health expenditure-they have no idea what just one family court case brought by a council can cost - in local authority social work costs, care costs, in court time, in legal aid, Guardians, £700k could be incurred by one local authority. And there will be NO reduction in demand for and cost of MH services.
