Be Jacob Misiorowski - High school senior season canceled by COVID - Tore his meniscus 2 games into his freshman year - Came back, 10-0, 136 Ks in 76 innings - Drafted 63rd overall - Scouts doubted he'd throw enough strikes to start - But started his MLB career with 11 straight no-hit innings - All-Star selection after just 5 career starts - Got swept by the Dodgers in the NLCS - Next year: MLB-best 1.80 ERA and 252 strikeouts - Threw the fastest pitch ever tracked by a starter (103.7 mph) then kept breaking his own record - Swept the Dodgers right back - Opened the World Series with the fastest pitch in WS history - 5 scoreless innings in the clincher - Won the first ever World Series for the Brewers at age 24 in his Cy Young year - Loves Jesus - Not afraid to cry on camera He’s a legend already.

Good Man ! Congrats
Pat Murphy began his coaching career at DIII Maryville College. After 6 years at the DIII level, he talked his way into the head coach job at Notre Dame, spending 7 years there before taking over at Arizona State, leading ASU to the college World Series 4 times in 15 years. He then spent 5 years coaching in the minor leagues for the Padres before being named to the Brewers Major league staff, taking over as manager in 2024. In his tenure as a big league manager, he’s twice (likely with a 3rd on the way) won manager of the year, became the first coach to lead a team to the CWS and MLB World Series, became the oldest manager to make his World Series debut and now is a World Series champion, bringing Milwaukee their first title. What a journey for Pat Murphy

Proud to say that yours truly trained Texas Roadhouse founder, the late great Kent Taylor at our Precinct steakhouse in Cincinnati. Hope you’ll give Jeff Ruby’s in Nashville an opportunity to serve you.
Texas Roadhouse is the undisputed GOAT of sit-down chain restaurants. Best bang for your buck in America. Chuy’s dominates Mexican, Buca di Beppo wins Italian, and Outback’s Bloomin’ Onion is the best single dish in the chain restaurant universe. Let the debate begin.

One of the most incredible things I experience in every clubhouse is how many big leaguers came to Cooperstown to play in a tournament when they were 12. Love this graphic every October.

Chris Stapleton and his wife, Morgane, were married on this day in 2007. They're celebrating their 19th anniversary today! The Stapletons are a true country music power couple. Morgane sings backing vocals on many of Chris' songs, tours with him, writes songs with him, and even co-produced his ACM Award-winning album, "Higher." The couple shares five children, although they keep them out of the spotlight for the most part. Congratulations on 19 years, Chris and Morgan! 🎉 💗

We recently lost a good friend, John Anderson. In his honor, I hope you’ll consider supporting The Outdoor Fund. Through Sunday, November 8th, Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s will match all donations made by customers rounding up in-store or online—dime for dime, dollar for dollar, up to $1,000 per donation. The Outdoor Fund brings conservation organizations together to protect wildlife and habitat, introduce more people to the outdoors, and stand up for sportsmen’s rights. If you’re shopping at Bass Pro Shops or Cabela’s, please consider rounding up in John’s memory. I sure appreciate it. Bill tinyurl.com/w9m855fy @BassProShops
