. We see wind turbines everywhere. But in the sky? In August 2026, China flight-tested the S4000, a helium-filled airborne wind system, at a site in the country’s northwest. The craft is about 67 metres long, 40 wide and 23 high, roughly the length of a Boeing 747. It is meant to work at up to 4,000 metres, where the wind is stronger and steadier than it is around a tower on the ground.

🌓 Which cities have the dirtiest air TODAY? All 10 of the world's most polluted major cities in this live ranking are in Asia! According to live ranking on November 4, 2026, several Asian cities are facing dangerous levels of air pollution. Here are the top 10 🇵🇰 Lahore, Pakistan 252 🇮🇳 Delhi, India 191 🇨🇳 Beijing, China 190 🇮🇳 Kolkata, India 166 🇮🇳 Mumbai, India 162 🇵🇰 Karachi, Pakistan 157 🇮🇷 Tehran, Iran 149 🇧🇩 Dhaka, Bangladesh 149 🇦🇪 Dubai, UAE 127 🇮🇩 Jakarta, Indonesia 122 Some striking details: Lahore tops the list with an AQI of 252, classified as very unhealthy. India has three cities in the top 10: Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai. Six of these cities have air quality classified as unhealthy or worse. What is AQI (US)? AQI means Air Quality Index. It measures how polluted the air is using the U.S. standard. A higher number means greater health risks. These are live readings, not annual averages. Rankings can change throughout the day. . The global AI adoption gap might surprise you This chart from BCG's AI At Work 2025 survey shows the share of the workforce using AI several times a week, and the results turn traditional tech expectations on their head Emerging markets lead: India and the Middle East are at the absolute forefront, with adoption rates soaring well above 80%. Brazil follows closely behind at nearly 76%. Developed economies lag: Developed nations like the UK, Germany, and the US sit much lower in the 60-70% range. The Japan anomaly: Japan ranks the lowest among the group, with barely 50% of its workforce integrating AI into their weekly routine. While developed economies often pioneer the underlying technology, emerging markets are implementing it into daily work at a much faster pace.

Yeah Mr. Cap! yeah science!
The bypass question Is Türkiye being bypassed? The big Black Sea submarine cable (Azerbaijan - Georgia - Romania - Hungary) deliberately avoids Türkiye. This is the flagship project with the strongest EU political and financial support. However, a second route is also advancing: Land route (Azerbaijan – Georgia – Türkiye – Bulgaria). Memorandum of Understanding signed in April 2025 Parties agreed to set up a joint company (May 2026, Istanbul) Turkish Energy Minister has called it the TANAP of electricity Intergovernmental agreement was expected around COP31 in Antalya (November 2026) This land corridor is smaller and less advanced than the Black Sea cable, but it keeps Türkiye in the game as a transit country. Azerbaijan is deliberately developing both routes in parallel so it is not dependent on a single path. Sources: Azernews, IEEE, Green Energy Corridor Power Company

. Azerbaijan is building a new green energy highway to Europe, under the Black Sea The Caspian–Black Sea–Europe Green Energy Corridor will carry renewable electricity (solar, wind and hydro) from Azerbaijan through Georgia, then via a submarine cable under the Black Sea to Romania and Hungary. * Estimated cost: €22.1 billion * Total capacity: ~4 GW (three 1.3 GW lines) * First power expected in 2032, full capacity by 2040 * Target export: up to 20 billion kWh per year to Europe by 2040 * Feasibility study is already done. Final investment decision is targeted for 2029. This is Azerbaijan’s biggest step yet to become a major green electricity exporter to the EU.

+ According to the IMF, "Conventional services trade statistics capture only part of international services trade. Services are increasingly traded not only directly but also indirectly across borders, both as inputs into goods production (“servicification”) and by establishing a commercial presence abroad (such as foreign bank branches or hotel chains). Estimates in this chapter demonstrate that roughly 20 percent of total regional services exports are embodied in goods trade (compared to 12 percent in the European Union (EU) and 10 percent in other advanced economies [AEs]), whereas services through commercial presences abroad—heavily dominated by AEs and China—account for about 45 percent of total regional services exports (50 percent in the EU and 56 percent in other"

But the most interesting change is happening inside services trade. There are two main categories: Traditional services: Tourism, transport and other services that often require physical movement. Modern services: Software, IT, financial, professional and other services that can often be delivered digitally. Between 2010 and 2025, modern services exports more than tripled, reaching an index of nearly 340. Traditional services exports grew much more slowly, reaching around 165. Who is leading the shift? In 2023, modern services accounted for roughly: 🇮🇳 India: 78% of services exports 🇵🇭 Philippines: 72% 🇨🇳 China: 58% 🇯🇵 Japan: 52% 🇰🇷 South Korea: 51% The Asia-Pacific regional share was only around 28%, showing how different these economies are.
