Strive for greatness, but appreciate competition and your competitors.
Be secure enough in your sense of self that you can share your greatest moment with a rival, let celebrating with them be part of the magic of competing.

Great share.
Iowa’s Offense NCAA Tournament 2026:
- Plenty of false motion to shift the defense before getting into main actions
- Patience in ball screens -> “Flip” ball screens to get to 2 to the ball if the defense goes under OR reject -> must engage 2 defenders to create an advantage
- Punish small vs big switches -> big vs small switches
- A lot of the offense is initiated out of the “Iverson” Cut

1) Positivity
2) Uplift and Glorify Others
3) Share content that will help grow the game and not showcase how much you know.
There’s more to it but those 3 points are GREAT.

Fantastic read. Thank you for sharing. @stevemagness
A German program tracked 14,000 of its most elite 12-year-old soccer players. 0.6% became pros.
We're terrible at spotting talent and it's costing us our best players before they ever develop.
I dug into what actually matters for developing talent: stevemagness.substack.com/p/…

Underrated Skill: Passing your teammate open.
The ability to lead your teammate into open space away from the help defense.
Eye manipulation could be key here to move the defensive players.
As the receiver, your responsibility is to chase space with speed and get behind the ball with the proper footwork.
