これはAIエージェントが登場されていた時から言われていた話で、企業向けでは先行しているけれど、AIエージェントに正しくアクセス権限を与えること、そのAIエージェントが本物であるという認証を正確に行うことが必須になっていくのは自明

New EIP! Decoupled Consensus 🔗 github.com/ethereum/EIPs/pul… Highlights: - Validators would send two different message types: head votes for the available chain and finality attestations for the finality gadget, with separate propagation and inclusion rules. - Fork choice for the available chain uses only recent head votes (with cutoffs) plus expiring lock mechanisms to protect recently confirmed blocks when participation drops or messages are missing. - Finality would move off epoch-coupled voting: the whole validator set participates in independently scheduled finality rounds, and blocks can be justified/finalized as soon as ≥2/3 stake attestations are included in blocks. - The two subsystems interact through a “frame” provided by the finality gadget that constrains which blocks the available chain may build on and vote for (viable tree/heads, fork-choice root, frontier height handling). - It requires a consensus-layer hard fork and leaves major parameters and analysis as TBD (committee selection/VRFs, timing/lock parameters, encoding/aggregation, incentives, slashing details, fork transition, and proving the targeted ~4× faster finality). ELI5: Today Ethereum uses the same kind of vote messages to both (1) pick which block is the “current head” and (2) decide when blocks are “final” and can’t be changed. This proposal splits those into two separate jobs: a smaller, fast group votes each slot to quickly pick and “confirm” the head (with safety locks if votes are missing), while the whole validator set votes in separate, independent rounds to finalize blocks much faster. Keeping these two voting systems separate is meant to make chain reorganizations harder and let finality happen sooner.

@Ethereum’s resilience is a collective achievement. It is built by protocol researchers, client teams, security practitioners, network maintainers, and the open-source communities that sustain critical infrastructure. At @EFDevcon 8 Mumbai, the Resilient Networking Hub, within the @libp2p Expedition, is bringing these perspectives together through the @Ethereum Protocol Resilience Discussion Track. Please join us at libp2p.tech/protocol-risk-ma… The series of panel discussions and workshops will be organized by @thomphreys from the Ethereum Foundation, alongside @manusheel and @adust09 from @NyxFoundation, to explore how we can strengthen trust in Ethereum’s underlying infrastructure and improve our shared understanding of protocol resilience. Across roundtables and workshops, we’ll examine: 🔹 How we assess Ethereum’s protocol health today, and what might be missing. 🔹 Whether credibly neutral, transparent, and reproducible approaches could improve our understanding of systemic risks. 🔹 How stronger evidence could inform engineering priorities, operational coordination, institutional engagement, and the sustainable funding of critical infrastructure. This conversation extends beyond measurement. It is also about strengthening the relationships between protocol developers, infrastructure maintainers, institutions, and public-goods funders. Our goal: help the ecosystem build stronger trust in the protocols we depend on, while exploring how more organizations can participate in the long-term stewardship and funding of Ethereum’s infrastructure. 📍 Resilient Networking Hub | @libp2p Expedition | Devcon 8, Mumbai 🗓 November 3, 4 & 6, 2026 This is an exploratory discussion track. We welcome critical questions, alternative approaches, and contributions from across the Ethereum ecosystem. Special thanks to @satyaki44 and @OrnellaWeb3 to enable initiatives that scale Ethereum's resilience and trust for more institutional adoption this year. #Ethereum #libp2p #Devcon #OpenSource #PublicGoods

After six years in stealth, Atomic Machines is out. Our mission: on-demand, universal command of matter. First beachhead: the Matter Compiler, an AI-native manufacturing system that builds working micro-machines from code alone. No per-product tooling. No process development. Different code, different machine.

Introducing hodge.computer: the first multiplayer open research challenge aiming to solve a case of the generalized Hodge conjecture. Erdős problems can be stated using just simple objects: integers, sets, etc. This makes them amenable to attack using AI. HC is not so. Its very statement involves deep objects, many of which are not even formalized in Lean (at least until recently): rational Betti cohomology of smooth projective varieties, complex differential forms and the Hodge decomposition, the cycle class map, etc. My mission is to turn the Hodge conjecture into an Erdős problem. Today, I am beginning with a special case: the GHC for the invariant Hodge substructure H ⊂ H⁴(X, ℚ) in sextic fourfolds X ⊂ ℙ⁵ with an involution. Voisin first isolated this subcase; recent mathematical work on my part has made its prediction computationally effective. To my knowledge, this is the first computational attack, of any kind, on any case of the generalized Hodge conjecture. Math is undergoing a revolution (see quoted tweet for more remarks). Calling all enthusiasts and hobbyists! Calling all engineers! And academics, you too :) This is now your time to contribute to the single most fascinating problem in algebraic geometry. Let's go.
Both sides are right. Math must adapt in the AI era. But it also must preserve the standards of stewardship, mentorship and communication that have made mathematics humankind's premier intellectual undertaking. Today, we are announcing hodge.computer, the first open autoresearch initiative targeting a special case of the generalized Hodge conjecture. We believe that mathematics will increasingly be conducted in massively multiplayer, digitally coordinated research programs, with each individual contribution verified by Lean, and progress collected in a central, public leaderboard. At the same time, each such project needs a human mathematician who has pledged to accept responsibility for the cultivation and crystallization of all knowledge that ensues from the project, as well as the identification and crediting of all relevant prior work. Early predecessors of this model can be found at least as far back as the Polymath projects of Gowers, Tao and their collaborators. More recently, erdosproblems.com has resoundingly demonstrated the viability of this research model. The problem is that much of math—and Hodge theory perhaps most of all—is hard to formalize, and hard to make incremental progress on. Thus, in the AI era, the most important task for a mathematician may well shift from > can you solve this problem? to > can you reëxpress this problem in an equivalent form, which in turn is computationally effective? The latter being done, we can subject the problem at hand to a massive open autoresearch program. hodge.computer targets the GHC for the involution-invariant Hodge structure H ⊂ H⁴(X, ℚ), where X ⊂ ℙ⁵ is a smooth sextic hypersurface preserved by the involution on ℙ⁵ that changes the signs of three homogeneous coordinates. This important GHC subcase has been isolated and championed by Voisin. Recent work of Diamond has translated the prediction at issue into a computationally explicit form. We launch with 42 verified certificates and 19 open targets. Now, everyone can contribute to the most fascinating problem in all of algebraic geometry. Visit hodge.computer for background and contribution instructions; feel free also to join our Discord.

Great initiative, Yann! I plan to tackle the PQ-related challenges in advance. Updates at @EFDevcon w/ @libp2p as a @NyxFoundation, we will keep contribute to FV related things🫡
It’s a wrap! It was an honor to help organize the Fast Finality workshop in Cambridge. There have already been some great recaps, but here’s my quick overview of the main topics we covered: 1. Deep-diving DC: Decoupled Consensus is a super ambitious upgrade we hope to ship in I* (h/t @benjaminion_xyz). @robsaltini gave a great overview, and @fradamt unveiled his impressive recent breakthroughs, e.g. achieving short-term async resilience through local locks. 2. Shipping DC: Sessions on critical research and engineering, including networking benchmarks & devnets (@sukunrt & Csaba), rewards & incentives (@weboftrees), and specs & testing (@mkalinin2, @jtraglia, @tcoratger). 3. Securing DC: Formal verification meets fast finality. We explored exciting new AI-enabled opportunities (@fradamt & @robsaltini), building on years of great FV work (@alexanderlhicks). 4. Future of Fast Finality: Aligning DC with future needs. This covered PQ networking (@kamil_abiy & @kevaundray), finality in tens of seconds with PQ validators (@barnabemonnot), lean clients & prototyping (@pablodeymo, Mega, Mihir, Locky, @adust09, @ladislaus0x), and one-round finality & other future research (shoutout @alranpe, @jneu_net, @ittai & Neil). Huge thanks to everyone who made this workshop a success! Special thanks to @benjaminion_xyz for all the help and guidance, and of course to @justindrake and @willcorcoran for making it possible!
