Building toolstile.com → connect tools once, give each agent only what it needs

more stuff →

Every new MCP server meant logging in again. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, every device. Then every agent got every tool. Toolstile fixes both: connect once, one endpoint, and each agent gets full access, selected tools, or nothing. Free, no card: toolstile.com

Before AI: User: This is broken. Maintainer: PRs welcome! After AI: User: Here's a PR. Maintainer: Issues welcome!
disabling PRs on Executor - issues are super welcome and encouraged but my reproduction + fix setup is better than the average PR that gets opened weird world we ended up in

i have finally cancelled by Wispr Flow subscription and move to Hex by @anomalyco.
Replying to @thdxr
hex feels much better than competitors to use. the only reason I haven't fully moved to it because it doesn't have a dictionary feature.

Prices are per minute on a 2 vCPU Linux runner, from their pricing pages. Speed numbers are their claims. A cheap minute on a slow machine can still cost more per job. Run your slowest workflow on two before you switch.

I gave Opus 5.5 one task: make my CI faster. 10m 08s → 1m 49s. It fixed the build cache, separated Docker layers, and ran independent steps in parallel. Same checks. A lot less waiting. What’s the slowest step in your CI right now?

ever since Opus 5.5 came out, I can't get close to my weekly limits on the $100 plan. two of my banked resets even expired. what would I do with double?
Day 25/ We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today. We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage. And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.

if you are using Portless by @vercel to get beautiful preview URLs: install PortlessBar by @akshit_io to get keep them one click away brew install --cask akshitkrnagpal/tap/portlessbar
if you have multiple agent devices you NEED this: use Tailscale + Portless to get beautiful preview URLs working a lot in frontend, I get overwhelmed by the long tailnet addresses (including their port) with this setup instead, i get: 𝚑𝚝𝚝𝚙𝚜://𝚙𝚛𝚘𝚓𝚎𝚌𝚝.𝚍𝚎𝚟𝚒𝚌𝚎

crazy how google cloud revenue grew 103% year over year to $30.7B, with such a terrible dashboard. I guess with MCP and computer use, the dashboard stopped being what decides who wins
For the first time EVER, $GOOGL Search as a % of revenue is now below 50%.

if you are feeling this, audit the tests now. agents are doing stupid stuff all the time. i have seen this - adding 5 min timeout - seeding fixture for each test case (not grouping them)
Tests are nearly useless now. I deleted all test suites running in my projects. It is literally saving me $$ and also making me faster. I've asked a few popular maintainers, and they seem to agree that new tests/contributions coming off agents are not worth. In Infact, they are worse than the usual branch-coverage work developers do lol.

5 years ago, better UX for humans was enough to win. Enough startups proved it. Right now, better UX for agents is giving the same edge in software.
If I have to go to a dashboard to use your product, I'm not going to use your product. If anything, I'm more likely to tell Claude to rebuild your product.

that is why I am building toolstile.com the more devices, more MCPs you have this problems gets worse and worse.
switching agents hits tools also. every MCP you have you need to authenticate again & again.
