Graduate with a Million Dollars. The high school for entrepreneurs. Part of @AlphaSchool.

New York, NY
Ambitious teenagers are the future.
Today I just made my first $1,700 through the internet! I redesigned a website for a business. At 14, I never thought I could sell to a complete stranger. I've always wanted to be an entrepreneur and this is the first step towards that goal. @nateliason

1/ Taking their marketing to the streets. Students created signs and billboards with QR codes and took them around the streets of NYC. Anyone interested in getting a website built could scan a code and inquire.

2/ Working toward the next sale. One student presented how they have $2,750 worth of potential deals in their pipeline. Those deals still need to close, but they give students real opportunities to practice moving a conversation toward a sale.

I introduced a bunch of the @alpha_founders kids to my colleague to work for us. He just called me, “Who are these kids? These are some of the most impressive kids I’ve ever met.” Going to be such a premium for going to this school.

At 20, Jay Yang (@Jayyanginspires) turned an idea into $25,000 in sales in under 30 days. So by the time he started building, he already had paying customers. Here’s how Jay did it, and how you can use the same approach to validate your own ideas:

2. Elon replied to one of Nat’s posts. @nateliason shared a post about everything his bot can do. Elon saw it and replied. The post now has 550K+ views. Pretty wild.
Yesterday @nateliason shared a list of things his @bot can do. The post generated 532K views and even got a reply from @elonmusk. Founders School students watched all of this unfold live before their very eyes.

3. Rhett Jones joined us as a guest mentor. He’s an @Alphaschool alum who built a $3M bike park while still in high school, then went on to build a successful DTC business. Rhett was direct with the students and told them that building a business would be one of the hardest things they’d ever do. He also encouraged them to practice gratitude, stay humble, and spend less time on their phones. Focus is everything. That last one applies to all of us. It’s hard to build anything meaningful if you keep giving your attention to the things that don’t matter. On to week 6!

At 20, @Jayyanginspires took a business from $0 to $25K in less than 30 days. But that success came after a string of failed businesses. During one of our mentor sessions, he shared what those failures taught him and how he used those lessons to build his consulting company.

Today at Founders School… One student shared he scored a 34 on his first practice ACT without any prep. Another closed a $1k website design deal. And at this very moment the entire class is doing burpees in a group workout at the gym. I love this school.
