This is an essential thread from @ProfKarolSikora on the state of cancer services in the UK right now.
As an oncologist, I echo everything he has said. Please do share this warning, it is a terrible situation we're in. If you have any persistent symptoms, please get checked!
There has been a lot of focus on the two week wait figures for cancer patients, and it is good that they are improving but the situation is worse than people fear.
I was on the committee that devised the scheme in 1999: they only account for around 26% of cancer patients.

Totally agree w @ldawsonmd that it’s past time for SBRT to be included in HCC guidelines!
There is randomized data showing benefit to SBRT in HCC across settings (curative to palliative, with improvements in OS & QOL).

Is this the future of metastatic disease - SABR to all tumours, even if there are 30 of them?
What did we learn? Planning to 30 Gy in 5 fractions was feasible in the patients with 24 and 30 GTVs, but we ran into lung constraint issues in the patient with 50 GTVs. This case needed to be deescalated to 12 Gy in 2 fractions. Sample plans:
