Assam faced one of its most devastating floods in recent times. Homes vanished, roads disappeared, entire villages were left stranded and waiting.
But in the middle of the devastation, young people who had never run a relief operation before started organising one. Grassroots organisations turned into the backbone that kept supplies, medicine and hope moving when nothing else could get through. And across the state, people who owed nobody anything still gave what they had - their time, their money, their hands.
This is what Assam looks like.
To everyone who showed up in whatever way they could: thank you.
