McKinsey & Company highlights that ~60% of public sector workflows can be augmented using AI. ➡️ Evolution of India’s Startup Ecosystem: Phase 1 (post-2016) focused on consumer internet and valuations, while Phase 2 (current) reflects a shift towards deep-tech innovation and solving real-world challenges. ➡️ Startups are increasingly working on human-centric and national challenges, including reducing defence import dependency, lowering carbon intensity, and solving grassroots-level problems, highlighting the importance of local data for AI. ➡️ AI solutions must be built using locally collected, structured, and granular data. State-specific AI models are more effective than generic solutions trained on external datasets.
