When we started work on @linear, we felt real-time sync was a core functionality we had to invest in from the get-go. It turns out sync was important, but not for the reasons we thought. Read on.

Gemini Argon: In greek Gemini gives you a twin, Argon gives you a word that literally means “idle,” so you’ve got two of them not working. 🤔

Are people still using visual git clients? If so, what's the best client out there? What would make it even better?

Making excellent software is simple. First you have to acknowledge that its not good enough. The you need the will to improve it. Repeat.

Many of you haven't tried out Linear reviews yet. You should! We're making improvements every day, but it already is the best code review tool in existence. You'll find it in your sidebar.

This is the reason why I’ve disliked Ruby and Rails since I got exposed to it. I never was able to overcome the ridiculous slowness of it.
Been running a beta version of Campfire rewritten in Rust today! The code itself is still ugly as sin, and 6x as verbose, but the conversion was free*, and I never had to look at the Rust directly, so this is awesome 🤩 github.com/basecamp/once-cam…

@airfrance, come on guys. I log in with my old account. It says I don't have a Flying blue number. I sign up for Flying blue. It says I can't because I supposedly already have a Flying blue number. I try to delete my account to create a new one. It says error, can't delete account. I try to create a wholly new account with a new email address. It says "resource not authorized". I try again. I get the attached screenshot. Please hire someone that cares?

Further-fucking more: I try to buy tickets for my fam without an account. I go through the process. It errors out once. I redo the purchase. I get to the end, enter my credit card number and hit submit. It crunches for a while... before returning me to your front-page. My credit card is not charged and my tickets are nowhere.
