I don't know why people still deny that the NHL and WHA merged in 1979

"Seek help" Right-wing tech guys are soft as butter. Endorse a serial sexual assaulter & turd Steve Hilton, & say we have to elect these guys otherwise homeless people will do drugs near kids. And if anyone challenges these awful ideas, they don't back them up, just act hurt

It's funny to appeal to the authority of doctors and public health in 2026 after both groups destroyed their credibility in mismanaging covid
Replying to @behindthenet
notice how the word “pandemic” and “epidemic” are not the same words? words have meanings. you are not smarter and more knowledgeable than doctor’s and public health experts

Leaning on civil liability is the most pathetic gutless thing he could do. But then you remember his big donors are feasting on ICE contracts and he would never do anything to challenge them
If ICE agents violate someone’s rights in California, we will hold them accountable. The President cannot pardon them from civil liability. Under my new law, The No Kings Act, individuals have already started to sue ICE agents who violate their rights. We’re done with the impunity — it’s time to hold ICE accountable for lawlessness.

Israel is possibly the most right-wing country in the world that has elections. Nobody else supports tr*mp at the levels Israelis do. That's no friend to the US
A candidate for the U.S. Senate says Israel is not America's friend. I'm Israeli. I grew up in Israel. My family is Israeli. And I can tell you this: Few nations hold America as close to their hearts as Israelis do. Fact: Israelis admire America. 81% of Israelis view the United States favorably - the highest percentage among 36 countries surveyed by Pew in 2026. Who else in the Middle East does? No other U.S. ally can have 200 fighter jets in the sky in 3 hours notice. Modest compared with America's military might, certainly. But backed by something more important: a profound commitment to the United States, regardless of who occupies the White House. Security is real. Capabilities are real. And friendship is real too. This candidate understands nothing of it. He is trying to pick up votes through hate. None of this requires defending Netanyahu. None of it requires endorsing everything Israel has done in recent years. It requires understanding one fact: Israel America's most enduring ally in the Middle East. Criticizing an Israeli government is legitimate. Pretending Israel is America's enemy is something else entirely. Any other notion is just bigotry masquerading as conspiracy theory- or conspiracy theory masquerading as bigotry.

It took 21 years from the introduction of the polio vaccine until the end of the US polio epidemic. We did not classify "everyone still gets it" as the end of the pandemic

That's why the CEO of United Airlines wants it to be a national wealth tax. Graham et al are so annoying that other rich guys are willing to spend all their money just to tax them into oblivion
According to this NBER analysis, the proposed California wealth tax would actually lose the state money.

It has been three days and still not one example of a yimby who opposes Scott Wiener's anti-Palestine position
I can show you several. Where are you getting this shit from? You have chosen three different things to have stances on and decided they are all related. Seek help!

The liberal zionist position is that with Smotrich, Ben-Gvir, and Netanyahu in power, Israel is not a friend of the US. I guess new talking points came out today
Dislike Netanyahu? Totally legitimate. Many Israelis share that view! Criticize Israel? Fair as well! No country is immune to criticism. But not our friend? Insane. El-Sayed speaks more harshly about Israel than about Iran, Russia, or any other of our actual geopolitical foes.

The sun comes up this late in Michigan in the winter because they're way too far west to be in EST. I have *never* heard any complaints about this. Anyways, all of Western Canada no longer changes its clocks
we did permanent DST in 1974. the sun came up at 8:30 in january, kids caught the bus in the dark, it polled at 79% in december and 42% by february, and congress repealed it before halloween. you were not alive for this, which is the only reason it sounds like a new idea to you

I can't believe the level of bigotry I got from yimbys because I pointed out they don't want to develop private golf courses. Lots of r*tard, p*ssy, and people bragging about hating Muslims. They don't even disagree with me, they just wanted to say slurs to me

I'm sorry this guy had to meet Manny Yekutiel like this
It only takes 1 (one) experience of an “unhoused” person chasing you with a blunt object screaming he is going to kill you to change one’s mind about how we’re handling crime in California.

Which airports did this well? Not EWR or JFK. PHX has a looooong walk. BOS is a debacle. LAS intentionally stopped the monorail across the street. ORD Blue line maybe?
Seattle added this and it is transformative right up until you get off the train at the airport and have a 3/4 mile covered outdoor walk with luggage, or land from an international flight with jet lag and have over a mile to go and have to wait outside for a train.

This is the guy who lost to Ro Khanna by 56 points despite billionaire backing. Finger on the pulse of the electorate
The most innovative district in the world has to choose between two non-contributing zeros. Tech keeps going back and forth on Scott. I keep wanting to give him a chance given the alterrnative, but this is the last straw. There's no difference between him and Connie at this point. What a shame.

I don't think your job or how recently you moved here defines anything. But @pitdesi continually going telling people to vote for Manny Yekutiel after numerous sexual assault allegations came out makes him decidedly not part of the community

Oh wow, you can sue an ice agent. Scott love pretending that these lawsuits won't get nuked by the first court that sees one
Reminder to ICE agents: Our law that the Governor just signed is in effect, and you can now be sued for violating people’s constitutional rights. Your impunity is over.

Matt Dorsey came to San Francisco as an actual drug tourist. He brought drugs into neighborhoods with children. He brought them to work. You can support Dorsey, as this guy does, and moralize about drugs
I vilify drug addicts using drugs in neighborhoods with kids. Yes I do. We shouldn’t accept this.
