Big companies absolutely can pay a single salary regardless of location. They don’t do it because it’s not in their interest, not because it’s infeasible.
I understand why salary ranges exist and I'm not advocating for a singular salary irrespective of location, especially at big companies. If a place can do it, fine -- but big companies absolutely cannot. What I am saying is the meme that everyone will move to Ohio now is a lie.
