BitMON might be the most mispriced NFT collection on the market right now and a massive slow cook waiting to explode…
The reason? Most people still don’t understand the mechanics… YET
- Only 4,444 supply
- Animated fully onchain art
- Created by OG NFT artist
@DesLucrece
- Big art collectors like
@osseneth are already accumulating rares
But the real alpha is in the reveal + distribution mechanism. BitMON has one of the most novel distribution systems I’ve seen from an NFT collection in a long time and ironically, that’s probably exactly why it’s still undervalued.
Most people just see a low floor and assume there’s no demand. What they don’t realize is that this has essentially been one giant, drawn-out mint.
Almost the entire supply is being distributed through
@token_works FWA pools. The only way to “mint” was to buy a random NFT from the pool and pray you hit a BitMON. That creates a natural arbitrage between FWA and the secondary market. Whenever the floor gets too high, people can simply try their luck through FWA instead.
Result?
Price action gets suppressed while distribution is still happening. But that dynamic is about to change. The mint has been running for ~3 days and now less than 10% of the BitMON supply appears to remain inside the FWA pool.
And these final BitMON become increasingly difficult to hit as the pool gets diluted. At the same time, the longer a BitMON survives inside the pool, the rarer it becomes.
So you basically have: Supply distribution nearing completion + increasingly rare remaining BitMON + the FWA arbitrage slowly disappearing.
I’ve personally kept quiet about BitMON because I wanted to accumulate as MUCH as possible at the current price. But now that the mint looks close to finished, I think we’re approaching the point where the entire market dynamic changes.
If my thesis is right, the end of distribution could mark an important inflection point for the floor. Now let’s see what happens when the mint actually ends.
Could be a very interesting few days/weeks ahead. 👀
