Hi @bot @poteto please fix. Extremely annoying
Replying to @astuyve @bot
Something extremely annoying is that Grok Bot app keeps disconnecting even when my computer is awake/caffeinated. Found similar reports in Cursor forum.

We deleted 800k lines of unit tests from the @sazabi monorepo earlier this week. Three hypotheses: 1- Unit tests "lock-in" slop code by making it hard to change or remove 2- Unit tests slow down dev cycles by making your agent do more work locally and by increasing CI times 3- Unit tests waste money by making your agent generate more tokens and by adding useless CI runs Will report back soon with the results!

I am starting to think that tickets that lead to a PR should count as a contribution. PRs are cheap now and a shitty PR with no understanding of the code just for a badge on gh wastes everyone time. but a ticket where a well-informed author can think about is much more valuable.

Accept the present and the future. Embrace it. Have an evidence based career where you try doing meaningful things. Create open source software that does not exist currently since in the past it required teams of people and there were not the economic incentives but now with AI it is possible for individuals to do it.

Extinguish slop tests.
Reminder: unit tests are worse than useless. They actively degrade your codebase into slop.

At the top of my AGENTS.md: - NEVER write unit tests after you write code. - Highly prefer E2E tests as the sole testing mechanism. Use them to verify complex features work. At the end of E2E tests, produce a verifiable and repeatable artifact. - If you must test a system in isolation, FIRST write all the ways it could fail, THEN write the code.

Solve cancer now, thanks in advance
We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics. The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra. The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.

Important in the AI era. I’d much rather have good outcomes that get consistently better than perfect/great outcomes sometimes.
Beware people obsessed with outcomes instead of building outcome machines. Its worse than ever with AI, but these people existed before. Short term results above all else, etc. Don't fall into the trap. Invest in building strong fundamentals, invisible supports, and outcomes flow like water. An outcome machine.

Please do not direct your agent to burn down issues on someone else's open source project. Reviewing your "contribution" is actually more work for a maintainer than it is for them to direct their own agent to fix the same bug. So you are actually creating work, not helping.

I do the same. MCP all the way.
something changed in how i buy software. at work, i only pick services with an official MCP (posthog over plausible). at home, same thing. i use strava because i can ask claude about my runs. i used to care about features, now I care about interacting with my data. no MCP means i have to use your UI. that's a dealbreaker now.
