The government is going to scrap the daily standing charge (around 30p/day) & put it on the it cost of a KWh of gas.
This is probably a good thing as it reduces the ratio of a unit cost of electricity to gas/KWh.
This makes fitting a heat pump even more worthwhile vs gas 👍🏻

🇨🇳 🇩🇪 🚗 VW finally chasing proper software and a usable UI? About time.
💻Volkswagen is reportedly looking at using software architecture co-developed with Chinese EV maker XPeng across a big chunk of its future VW, Škoda and Cupra line-up.
And frankly, it could do with it. the infotainment and user experience in some VW Group cars have lagged a long way behind the best of the competition.
If Chinese-developed software helps put that right, why wouldn’t they use it?
The EV race isn’t just about batteries, range and charging speeds. The software matters too. ⚡

Are you for or against the cyan driverless mode lights?
NHTSA is proposing lighting rule changes for driverless vehicles with no steering wheel or pedals, like @Tesla's Cybercab, plus optional cyan lamps that show when a vehicle is driving itself.
Wish we had the cyan lighting for AVs here in Europe too tbh.
