I FOUND A TESLA CYBERCAB! 👀 While in Florida, I went hunting for Tesla’s vision of a driverless future. No steering wheel. No pedals. Just the Cybercab. But how close are we really to seeing these become part of everyday life? My video link is in the first comment. Enjoy!

Scoring 4.62/5 with owners, the CUPRA Born is a proper driver's EV—but check the model year before buying. Early 77kWh cars only have 4 seats and unlit sliders, while late-2024+ models fix the tech, add backlit controls and hold ~70kW to 80%: electricroad.co.uk/2026/10/c…

☀️🔋 Want solar panels and a home battery but put off by the upfront cost? A new UK government-backed scheme launched this week could help homeowners spread the cost of installing solar panels, battery storage and heat pumps. The Warm Homes Loan Scheme offers lower-interest and, in some cases, interest-free finance. Maximum supported loan amounts include: ☀️ Solar panels: £15,000 🔋 Battery storage: £15,000 ♨️ Air-to-water heat pumps: £20,000 🌍 Ground-source heat pumps: £35,000 Who can apply? ✅ You must own the property, with or without a mortgage. ✅ The property must be in the UK and used as a home, not for commercial purposes. ✅ The money must be used for eligible energy-saving improvements. ✅ You will generally need an MCS-certified installer. Heat network connections are an exception. You don’t have to be on benefits or meet a specific income threshold under the scheme’s basic eligibility rules, although individual lenders may have additional requirements. You can apply directly through a participating lender, through an installer or retailer offering the finance, or via your mortgage provider. ⚠️ These are loans, not grants. Credit and affordability checks apply, and you should compare interest rates, fees and the total amount repayable. 👉 Check eligibility and find out how to apply: gov.uk/warm-homes-loan-schem… gov.uk/warm-homes-loan-schem… ☀️ 🔋 ⚡

The government is going to scrap the daily standing charge (around 30p/day) & put it on the it cost of a KWh of gas. This is probably a good thing as it reduces the ratio of a unit cost of electricity to gas/KWh. This makes fitting a heat pump even more worthwhile vs gas 👍🏻

🇨🇳 🇩🇪 🚗 VW finally chasing proper software and a usable UI? About time. 💻Volkswagen is reportedly looking at using software architecture co-developed with Chinese EV maker XPeng across a big chunk of its future VW, Škoda and Cupra line-up. And frankly, it could do with it. the infotainment and user experience in some VW Group cars have lagged a long way behind the best of the competition. If Chinese-developed software helps put that right, why wouldn’t they use it? The EV race isn’t just about batteries, range and charging speeds. The software matters too. ⚡ (Source: Reuters)

@graeme_cobb often posts BIG discount deals on fossil equivalents. It’s not just a thing for EVs. As you screenshot him- rather than doing him the common courtesy of a repost, it’s clear you know this too. 🙄

It’s because @5054magazine doesn’t like it when I hit back with this petrol A5 that’s lost £20k in depreciation in a year 👇 autotrader.co.uk/car-details…

8 year manufacturer warranty, yet only last 7 years? I’ve heard it all now. 😂 Here’s a batt cert for a 7 year old 74,000 mile EV I had in recently. Showed him this and got immediately blocked. 😂 Newt

Are you for or against the cyan driverless mode lights?
NHTSA is proposing lighting rule changes for driverless vehicles with no steering wheel or pedals, like @Tesla's Cybercab, plus optional cyan lamps that show when a vehicle is driving itself. Wish we had the cyan lighting for AVs here in Europe too tbh. evwire.com/p/nhtsa-fmvss-108…
