It's pencils down, people. Writing code by hand is no longer an economically viable skill for most programmers at most companies. But the future of making software has never been brighter. Don't you dare black pill this beautiful moment! piped.video/vDjW_dRyKXY?si=6Fsf…

Maybe Anthropic's new terms of service on clanker cruelty is actually for your protection less so than theirs.

You wouldn't believe the hours I spent manually testing and verifying Omarchy releases during the first year. With Prime's stellar work leading the QA effort, we can finally replace all that toil with agents 🤘
Big Omarchy QA News: The Headline: * Omarchy QA will start running against nightly every day. Still some huge hurdles to figure out, but that is the fun stuff. The Meat: Omarchy QA is going slower than I hoped for, but its getting into place. This is my second fully running agent test harness where they decide what is good. * A nice running dashboard with cancellable states * Jobs, suites, servers: have all the possible states and transitions you would expect from build servers. This part was the most surprising as it is really in depth how much effort you have to spend thinking about every possibility * suite states, live updating website that ... runs fast? Yes I did something crazy... I made a cache, i know, actual crime... ** I even have an idea to make this load instant for every single user, and make updating cache contents LIGHTNING fast... *** Fun side note. WTF ARE YOU DOING EVERYONE, WEBSITES ARE FUN TO MAKE FAST AND YOU ALL ARE MAKING HORESHIT SITES... STOP. * ability to follow live running jobs and cancel them The sad part is I have had no time to get the actual custom harness running fast, which is ok, but its hard. Now, starting today, I am going to be hooking up nightly builds and actually running this against production! Will think about how to make this a public site, but for now, its private :(

I hope we can work with Huawei to make it possible to install Omarchy on this glorious hardware!

Tesla is the only Western car company that feels well prepared to meet the Chinese competition. But I am visiting Xiaomi later on this trip! So I'm excited to see what they have to offer.

Oh, I'm still amazed by the hardware. It's gorgeous! But is it really surprising that I have opinions about the software when I also found both Windows and macOS lacking? It's that passion for The Perfect Computer that's driving Omarchy. But I still respect HarmonyOS.

We got picked up in an actual Mercedes at the airport here in Hangzhou. It was gas powered too. Felt like a significant step down from the luxury Chinese EVs I had been in the last few days. Didn't know it was this bad. Damn.
I'd never heard of the Chinese car brand that just drove us back to the hotel in Shenzhen, but the interior was as nice or nicer than a top-spec Mercedes S class and the 20-minute drive was $6. Germany should be very worried indeed.

I left an Omarchy terminal in Chinese, and I'm not going to lie, this looks pretty bad ass when doing omarchy update!

Don't be retarded. It's a cool computer. I'd happily run it if I can get Omarchy on it. Where do you think your computer is made?

What on earth are you talking about? The Model Y is the world's best selling electric car. They're the first new American car company to sell over a million units in a century.

You'd think the land of the free would have just one major newspaper excited for the most amazing feats of the nation.

I normally listen to electronic music with few or repeating lyrics when needing to focus, but I've found that a looping Gregorian chant also does the trick! open.spotify.com/track/0xUL1…

It was so good! Shockingly good, even. Couldn't believe how fast it was running on a not very powerful laptop. Let's see if we can't make this part of the default Omarchy setup.

I do think that's a fundamental difference. The famous Steve Jobs quote about not using focus groups comes to mind. Apple historically just designed what they thought was right, not what users asked for or even expressed preference for. Ended up with a very different aesthetic.
