I am absolutely loving Claude Desktop lately. It’s gotten so much faster and with remote control and remote ssh it’s absolutely bonkers. Paired with Codex Desktop it’s so powerful.

🤯 I found a Chromium bug where since Chrome 142 background-color transitions run on the GPU compositor and when a hover starts or ends the fill can be one frame out of sync with the text. This means fast hovers flicker... 😭 Thread 🧵

This is not fixed in the latest Chromium! The workaround is to draw the hover fill as an inset box-shadow instead of a background color. Shadows always paint on the main thread, so they stay in sync with the text: ``` box-shadow: inset 0 0 0 100vmax ; transition-property: color, box-shadow; ```

These are the details I love to pay attention to with anything I am building. Look at B. I noticed a faint vertical line running down from where the white corner handle ends at the top, and a faint horizontal line running right from where it ends on the left. Ask your agents to provide evidence and proof. It's insane what agents are capable of these days.

You wanna know what slop is? This is slop... So we really dont look at code anymore? I dont know...

People have been asking to run Supabase locally without Docker for a while. You can do that now. 🐳 Plus, every coding agent gets its own local project, so one can reset its database while another is mid test run. supabase.com/blog/local-supa…

What if Spotlight actually understood the meaning inside your files? DigUp is an open-source macOS menu bar app powered by EmbeddingGemma 2 that brings 100% local, multimodal semantic search to your Mac. Instead of searching for file names, you can use natural language to: 📸 Find specific scenes in your photos ⏳ Jump to the exact timestamp in audio or video 💻 Search through your codebase by intent Everything runs locally in a single vector space.

I don't know about you but I find it satisfying to watch agents prove that something works. Verification systems are so powerful. Here's an agent running performance profiles on a Higgsfield clone I have been building for a while now. That said, guys, invest time into proper verification systems. This is key in shipping code that works and it helps build that trust.

Everyone complains about AI slop, and I'm not sure we mean the same thing. Broken code? Unnecessary complexity? A PR whose author can't explain it? I went back and forth on a definition for a while. Where I landed: Slop is AI-assisted work where the output looks more convincing than it has been verified to be, and someone else pays for the gap. The gap is the interesting part, because passing tests don't close it on their own. Full article down below👇

Agreed, but that's the point. Slop was never about who wrote it. IMHO it's handing off work nobody verified so someone else has to do it. Let's be honest, AI didn't invent that but the problem just multiplied this by 100x or so.
honestly, most code before ai was also slop

What's wrong with this function? It's async, uses await, and its tests pass. But it reports success before a single write finishes. That's AI slop. It's code that looks finished before anyone checked it, whoever wrote it. What makes code slop, and how to avoid it 👇

I am starting to dig Grok Bot and to see the value in it. Not for coding but for automating various non-coding related tasks and to help me stay on top of things. Gotta admit, this thing is cool.
