The 1st DCA has just released more Hope Florida docs. This shows that it was Fla AG @JamesUthmeierFL who last Friday asked the court to block the airing of Hope Florida ads. The court rejected the request. Hours later the RPOF filed a lawsuit in Highlands County about it ...
Fla Dems chair @NikkiFried responds that Dems didn't take down the first ad because of the lawsuit but is just "rotating ads." In a statement Fried also said "their stunt backfired" & "thanks to the lawsuit more Floridians are paying attention."
Gov. DeSantis this p.m. said he didn't know about the RPOF lawsuit but he called @JoseJavierJJR a "dirtbag" for being involved in the Hope Florida ad that includes an image of first lady Casey DeSantis. "I will ensure he ends up suffering a very stinging defeat."
After initially saying he would not campaign on the passage of Amendment 3 Gov. DeSantis is now getting engaged on the prop tax overhaul. He held a telehall with GOP voters earlier this week. He's now doing a roundtable on it in Miami-Dade
The campaign of @ByronDonalds is out with another ad taking aim at @davidjollyfl & calling him "radical" and "Florida can't afford liberal David Jolly." Donalds - thru his PC, his campaign and help from RPOF - has now passed the $100m mark on ads. piped.video/watch?v=amV71-oV…
I'll be hitting a couple radio stations tomorrow to discuss Sen. Moody's press avoidance, which is a big story this campaign cycle that I hear complaints about more from Republicans than Democrats.

Scoop - House Majority Leader Steve Scalise is heading to Florida as the GOP works to shore up red seats across the ruby-red state
Scalise will hold a GOTV rally in Kissimmee Thursday with Republican Dan Green who is challenging Dem Rep. Darren Soto in #FL09, according to an invite obtained by @politico
Soto should be toast from the GOP redistricting effort in Florida, but he’s still hauling in significant fundraising and Dems say their internal polling shows a tight race.
Scalise will be with GOP Rep. Maria Salazar in the #FL27 Miami area Friday. He’ll also hold events for Ryan Elijah (#FL07), Brian Mast (#FL21) and Gus Bilirakis (#FL12).
NRCC is launching its first coordinated ad spending with GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna today in #FL13 - a district where Trump won by double digits - as top GOP groups cut bait in flipping several other Dem-held districts in FL.

Fla Dems out with a new Hope Fla ad that mentions both Moody and Uthmeier. Party says it's going on digital platforms (meaning not on broadcast TV) ... It Was Your Money piped.video/jEEnYzQBGZ0?si=mN6a… via @YouTube
It appears that the first Hope Fla ad has stopped running. The Dems spent nearly $1.5 m on it. Another ad touting @JoseJavierJJR that mentions @JamesUthmeierFL & Hope Fla has been produced as well but Ad Impact shows that only $6k has spent on that one.
A circuit court judge has scheduled an Oct. 29 hearing in the litigation over the Hope Florida ads filed by @FloridaGOP against @FlaDems, Dem candidates and TV stations. GOP is seeking an injunction blocking the broadcast of the ads. Election Day is Nov. 3.
New info posted to Donalds PC website shows Kalshi gave $250k last week. The Seminole Tribe - which is authorized to offer sports betting on its app - gave $500k on the same day
Good morning. A newly-released poll from the U. of North Florida has the governor's race in a dead heat. It has @ByronDonalds up 2% over @davidjollyfl which is within the margin of error. UNF's Sean Freedeer said “a win by either candidate would be unsurprising.”
That same poll has @AshleyMoodyFL up 4% over @AngieNixon - 49% to 45% - with 5% undecided. Nixon is leading independents by 15% Of those surveyed 25% said they were less likely to back Nixon because of her DSA ties. 30% were less likely to back Moody because of Hope Florida
The UNF poll has Amendment 3 with only 50% suppport - 10% short of threshold needed to win. But there is still a sizable number of undecideds. Freeder said it would be "challenging" for the measure to pass but said "last minute advertising" could make a "big difference."
