Revenue is the least dilutive form of capital you can raise.
Funding rounds aren't milestones. It shouldn't be your goal to raise a series A. It should be your goal not to need to.

I grew up watching TNG, and Picard was my first role model for leadership. A philosopher king who valued reason over force, welcomed disagreement, and held himself to the standards he asked of others, never trading his integrity for an easy way out. RIP Sir Patrick Stewart.

yikes. betterauth is pre-announcing a "security release" 😬 why? because agents can immediately deploy broad-scale attacks the minute vulns are disclosed. we saw this last week with php2shell: millions of automated attack attempts within hours of disclosure this is now a huge problem for open source projects. likely the same thing will happen with betterauth as php. unclear if network WAFs will be able to patch this one... oof 😰
We are preparing a security release for Better Auth, scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The related advisories will be published on GitHub Security Advisories at the same time. Learn more: better-auth.com/blog/securit…

even stranger: AI inference is perhaps the first time hardware will become *more* valuable instead of depreciating better models running on older hardware will have a higher $/tok than at initial installation vicarious cycle of capital acceleration towards abundant intelligence
One thing this analysis is missing is that computer can be resold. xAI overbuilt but then made a ton of profit on leasing compute to Anthropic. As long as we are compute constrained this duration mismatch is manageable. Seems likely we will continue to be compute constrained since real life can’t keep up with AI usage exponential.

WorkOS Radar protects your app from fraud, abuse, and attacks Powering @cursor_ai, @FactoryAI, @modal, and many other AI companies workos.com/radar
instabox.sh now uses @WorkOS for auth and security! It helps us block malicious attacks and spam signups, so we can send out more invite codes. If you're on the waitlist, expect yours sooner.

Controlling what agents can access and action for you is an extremely hard technical problem. Who approves access when a million agents are working at once? Can you trust an agent to enforce its own guardrails? In ep 1 of Technically Speaking @grinich founder of @WorkOS shares how Auth works and what needs to change for agents 💥
"In practice, it needs access to everything. But also nothing." We thought access control was a solved problem, then agents showed up. On ep 1 of Technically Speaking, @grinich (founder of @WorkOS) & @meganreyno discuss: → Why AI agents require rethinking Auth: "It's kind of like spawning new people in your organization very quickly." → What's stopping companies from letting agents cook (it's not the quality of models or harnesses): "To err is human, but to screw up 10,000 times per second you need a computer." → How Michael is hiring differently bc of AI ⌚ Watch the full episode: piped.video/2I8pJt9kXa8 Presented by our friends at @Railway. Been working with AuthKit by WorkOS for our SaaS. Honestly, why would you build your own authentication system at this point? Passkeys, MFA, SSO, bot protection, leaked password checks... all handled by people who specialise in this stuff. I love what AI lets us build, but authentication (& security) is one area where I'd most definitely rather not discover my mistakes in production.

At some point you need to stop playing covers and start playing your own songs.
You cannot execute someone else's strategy. Nobody thinks about your business nearly as much as you do. No one can obsess over the problem more than you. You have more data than all of them combined. You're the one who has to execute on all the space in between. Every decision downstream of a framework you don't actually believe in gets wobbly. You just accumulate drift. When things don't go perfectly right (and at a startup, they won't), you'll start second-guessing the whole thing and think you probably should have just done it your way. So yeah, just do that from the start.

I'm excited to speak at SEV0 in a couple weeks. We were a very early user of @incident_io and their product is also powered by @workos 🤝 Both companies were started in a pre-AI era and have transitioned to building for the agentic software wave. I have some free tickets for our community 🔥 DM me for details luma.com/wuoe9ul2
