It’s not often that I meet a founder who embodies the exceedingly rare combination of being unbelievably down to earth, ambitious, and talented. It’s an honor to hard launch @ghostai and I’m so excited to see how @zainmfj , @nicholaschua , @YifeiChen1121 , @gautam_sharda_ will shape the future of personal superintelligence.

The hardest lesson I've learned this year is that out of all the launches I work on, only a few will truly matter. I'm betting on @zainmfj & Ghost being the most consequential launch we work on this year. Here at @hardlaunching, we've never been this involved in a launch before. I ended up naming the product 2 days before the launch vid shoot, had many late night convos with zain to came up with the entire video concept after he shot down all the other ones from the director, fitted out the entire Ghost factory so we can do weekly tours, to even finding him a barber before the shoot, and so much more I'm forgetting rn. Everyone at Hard Launch shares this same belief: nothing is beneath us in the scope of our work to make a launch amazing. We're all committed to giving it our all because we know Ghost is Zain & the team's everything. If you spend any amount of time with Zain, you'll find that he wise well beyond his years. I learn something new from him every day. So many of the insights & reflections he shares are things that I've seen other founders take many more years to get to. I've spent what feels like an eternity amount of time in the Ghost office over the past 4 months, but we have a few more extremely exciting things post launch to wrap up over the next few weeks, but I will truly miss working with them on this. I've talked to Zain basically every day since we started working on this launch even when I'm not in the office (but I usually am lol). He loves to rage bait me about my age, and even when we fight that's only because we care a lot about our life's work but we also care a lot about each other. I'll miss our super candid conversations sprawled across the large tan couch in the living room after everyone leaves after midnight. I'll forever be rooting for him just like how he always encourages and pushes me to be the best hard launcher in the world for the rest of my life. I'll miss being the last ones working in the office with gautam (their amazing founding eng) after Zain goes to bed. I'll miss practicing my chinese with Yifei (their wonderful designer) & throwing design/marketing ideas for the websites that I know she would kill me on. I'll miss hearing Nicholas (their growth god) laugh, groan or cheer joyfully at the bajillion different cuts of the launch vid. We all have a lot of fun but push each other everyday to do our best work. Congratulations again to the Ghost team for their hard launch. The team and I been the honor of a lifetime working with you all <3

the first time i met @zainmfj three months ago, i asked him questions about his life philosophies. that conversation, unlike any other i’ve had, gave me insights into my life and more about his conviction for Ghost. i was more in awe to learn that he was younger than me.  @ghostai is by far the hardest, but most rewarding launch that I’ve done to date. it’s brand-new, malleable, and everything was up for grabs in marketing. i was pushed to take on new roles like becoming an interior designer tasked with turning an empty warehouse to the Ghost Factory. i helped host exclusive factory tours for people bullish on ghost’s mission. i pitched the most unhinged marketing ideas. zain is one in a million founder. i’ve joked around with him as someone the same age, but zain as a founder is one of the most ambition-driven, dedicated, and insightful person i’ve ever met.  it was also the people at ghost, @YifeiChen1121, @zainmfj , @nicholaschua , @gautam_sharda_ that continuously inspired me. moving to hong kong was harder because of how close i’ve gotten with the team, from trying chicha for the first time with Yifei to measuring factory dimensions with Zain, and many more…  i’ve worked on lots of launches this summer, but none as special as ghost. feeling very lucky to hard launch ghost and working with the team from the start. congrats on hard launch! 👻👻

Zain is the most compelling founder i’ve ever met. our first convo was a kickoff call. eventually, i was living in his office 4 months ago, i took that call from nyc. @zainmfj had forgone college to build computers for personal AI that runs locally and belongs to you. and when he spoke about that future, the distance felt crossable. i wanted to help get us there so after a knicks-in-5, bushwick-rave filled summer, i returned to sf. and before long, my commute was the distance from the office couch to my desk that couch sat against an enormous window. and every night, i’d catch the last few hours of darkness before sunrise burned through the glass and onto my face in my time @hardlaunching, i’ve learned how loosely ‘designer’ can apply if ur committed to moving mountains for your companies by any means necessary sometimes that meant commanding a fleet of taskrabbits like they're coding agents, to help @nicholaschua get ghost’s Hardware Factory ready for its weekly tours or it meant long jam sessions with @YifeiChen1121 on what ghost.ai should look like, then reopening figma before bed to fix a text layout lol and on the nights when i’d lose the fight to stay awake, the glow from Zain’s desk was the last thing I’d see. he’d still be debugging our 3 am convos on the office roof continue to wow me with how precisely Zain thinks, esp at such an enormous scale. i’d leave those convos mad tired, but wanting to build more, and to be even a little more like him congrats on @hardlaunching, ghost and co! it’s meant a lot to help introduce you to the world

this summer, i commuted two hours every day to the @ghostai office, even though i could’ve worked from home. w/ california gas prices, it objectively seemed kind of ridiculous, but being around the Ghost team quickly became one of the best parts of my summer. @nicholaschua and i spent hours on the office rooftop trying to come up with a launch video idea, sharing stories about our lives, throwing out increasingly stupid ideas, and getting to know each other. then there’s @zainmfj, who is somehow 19 and simultaneously one of the easiest people to joke around with and one of the smartest people i’ve ever worked with. the night before our la shoot, @zainmfj, @Jackyhuang, @nicholaschua, and i were half asleep from a missed flight, eating canes and rewriting the script for hours until we finally locked it in. the work definitely didn’t stop after the shoot either. in the last few days before launch, i somehow ended up jumping into audio, script changes, and motion graphics wherever i could. ghost builds personal ai computers that let you actually own your data, with your context living locally on a computer you own instead of being scattered across companies and platforms. very lucky this project brought me closer to this team, and very excited for everyone to see what they’ve been building :) congrats on @hardlaunching !!

dear camp hard launch, we played games, swam, ate good food, and reflected. i saw some old faces, and met so many new friends. i haven't had this much fun in a while! river electric was so cute and i felt so lucky. i remember @Jackyhuang talking about this months ago, and i'm so proud of him for making it happen. thank you to @ChristinaPhili5 @caseyaylward and @hardlaunching for such a good time, ilysm 💖
