be careful what you wish for. my new ai pilled macro tracker is super mean to me 💀
i probably have to migrate off my fav calorie tracker that i've been using for 8 years because they still refuse to expose a public api and now mcp. companies like this will die a swift death. tragic.

Every shard has its own clock. So what happens when you call now() in a query that spans all of them? Neki has an answer for that. It also has one for sequences, which turns out to be much trickier. planetscale.com/blog/neki-vo…

PlanetScale has db deletion protection, can block agents from shipping destructive schema changes, limit the resources they can consume, and quickly revert a bad deploy without losing the writes that happened in between. Let your agents cook. Safely.
opus 5.5 just deleted my database always thought something like this would never happen to me luckily it was only my dev database, but it also had access to production just a reminder how important database backups are, especially now that we're letting ai agents do more and more things on their own i can totally see this happening to a lot of people be careful out there guys
