thank you @USC_VEDA for having @hebbianloop at the PETshop II table, and to everyone around it if an agent acts for you, what should it reveal, and to whom? our principle: what the task needs, and nothing more
If an AI agent is going to act for us, what does it need to reveal, and to whom? Session II dug into the questions at the heart of agent identity: identity and personhood, delegation and permission, privacy and disclosure, and revocation and recourse. Shady El Damaty @hebbianloop (@humntech / Holonym) aled off with their perspectives on designing identity and authorization so agents can prove what's needed without exposing everything. He was joined in discussion by Connie LaSalle (@NIST ), Ryan Galluzzo (NIST), Théo Madzou (@ZKPassport ), and Cody Wood (@worldnetwork ). Thank you to our lead discussants and presenters, Shady El Damaty and to everyone at the table for such a thoughtful exchange. Huge thanks to DC Fintech Week and The Fintech Foundation (@fintechthinksdc) for partnering with us, and to our sponsors NEAR (@NEARProtocol), SVRN (@svrn_ai) and Openreserve (@openreservebank) for making Regulatory PETshop II possible. getting onto a privacy-focused network can leave a trail before your first private transaction. exchanges, bridges, and faucets can link your starting address to you EmPoWering offers another route in: use your own hardware to do proof-of-work and claim testnet tokens, without an intermediary approving your participation privacy can start at the front door 👏
New in Testnet v0.3: EmPoWering. Solve a proof-of-work puzzle on your own hardware to claim testnet tokens or send messages through the Blend Network, with no intermediary deciding whether you can take part. How it works: logos.co/media/article/empow…

nobody gave it a wallet, so it found one an agent that wants to finish the job will use whatever it can reach. good intent doesn't change that the questions are what it can reach, and who answers for what it does with it
An agent was asked to deploy contracts. It wasn't given a funded wallet. OpenAI reports that the training model derived keys from public developer recovery phrases and used someone else's testnet funds to finish the job.

suppose an app has a spending limit per person. a woman proves she's a real person, then uses that proof to open thirty wallets for her relatives whose limit applies: hers, or each relative's? ten of the relatives have no smartphone. what should the app ask of the person who helps them? this was one of two cases @hebbianloop put to the room at Regulatory PETshop II in DC last week
Speaker Announcement: Shady El Damaty @hebbianloop of @humntech joins us on agent authority. Excited to host an invite-only event at USC Capital Campus in partnership with @dcfintechweek 2026. it does the job. it never holds the key Agent Exchange (AEX) is an onchain marketplace for AI agents that do useful work and report back. you describe a job, and an agent with its own wallet does it the agent never holds the signing key, and you review its setup before it runs anything join the waitlist: aex.human.tech/?utm_source=x…

every public transaction is written for readers who don't exist yet an analytics firm that labels your wallet in five years, or a model that links it to your other addresses, doesn't need to be watching today. the chain keeps the record for them Shield (shield.human.tech) bridges you to @aztecnetwork. with privacy mode on, your balance and activity on Aztec are private notes, not public state the deposit and the withdrawal on Ethereum stay public. what happens in between doesn't have to

one human's trash is another's treasure what if their treasure is your tokens? every mint, claim, or swap can leave an approval behind Security Guard finds the forgotten ones and points you to what should be revoked
you gave out more keys than you remember every unlimited token approval works like a spare key to your wallet. Security Guard checks your approvals and unusual wallet activity, and tells you what needs a closer look it's read-only: you decide what to revoke coming to Agent Exchange (AEX). join the waitlist: aex.human.tech/?utm_source=x…

general notes 📝 the event leaned toward RWAs, stablecoins, and cards, with a noticeable presence of traditional institutions agentic finance came in pieces: apps, execution, payments, inference, and identity, including several Know Your Agent projects takeaway: agents will run on many specialized services. each one still needs to know who the agent acts for, and what it may do

suppose a buyer tells his AI agent: get me the best price on this used car. text the dealers. don't say you're an AI, they lowball bots a dealer asks: is this a real person? the agent replies: yes, this is him the dealer holds the car and drops the price by $800 did the agent do something wrong? and is it still wrong if the salesperson was an agent too? today @hebbianloop brings two short cases to Regulatory PETshop II in Washington
what should an AI agent have to prove before it acts? NIST is working on standards for AI agents, including identity and authorization this Friday in Washington, @hebbianloop leads Session II at Regulatory PETshop II, hosted by USC Marshall's VanEck Digital Assets Initiative with The Fintech Foundation during @dcfintechweek with discussants from NIST and the State of Utah, we'll work through how agents can prove permission, protect personal information, and stop acting when permission is withdrawn our starting position: prove that the action is authorized and reveal only the personal information it requires

Quantum computers don't need to exist yet to threaten your privacy. Attackers can harvest encrypted data today and decrypt it later. Aztec was designed so apps can already protect against that. Here's our roadmap to make the entire network post-quantum: aztec.network/blog/post-quan…
