Google is building Bitcoin custody infrastructure for banks. Think about how insanely bullish this is from an economic incentive standpoint. Google Cloud is developing technology that allows financial institutions to securely custody and transact in Bitcoin and other digital assets. The product is already in private preview, with commercial availability targeted for 2027. So basically this means one of the largest technology companies on Earth has decided that institutional digital asset custody represents a commercial opportunity worth dedicating engineering resources, security research, and product development toward. Google sees an opportunity to make money providing the infrastructure that banks will need to participate in the Bitcoin economy. Better infrastructure, in turn, lowers the barriers to adoption. Another self-reinforcing economic feedback loop where Bitcoin adoption incentivizes infrastructure investment, and infrastructure investment makes further adoption more attractive. Google wants to make money helping banks integrate Bitcoin into their businesses. Banks want to make money serving customers who own Bitcoin. The profit motive is aligning some of the most powerful companies in the world around building out Bitcoin's financial infrastructure. Bitcoin has reached the point where companies can pursue their own commercial interests by making the Bitcoin economy more accessible. This is an extraordinarily bullish development.
JUST IN: Google unveils a new crypto custody framework to protect digital assets for banks 👀 "Several major financial institutions are already testing it, and Google plans to open it up early next year as stolen private keys has cost the crypto industry billions." 👏

Check out this new advanced cohort on SVM Engineering by our very own @bergabman. We tested the platform he built, and trust me, the number of features it has will blow your mind. You can even add your own agents! This is the first cohort, and it's completely free. If you want to learn low-level stuff, enroll and get ready for an exciting journey!
A vibe coder lets the model decide. An agentic engineer decides first. Amussis is built on that idea, and registration is now open! Our first cohort, SVM Engineering, is a pilot, and the first real run of the platform we built ourselves (in Rust, of course). Six weeks, starting 2 Nov: get to know the tech, then build something new and cool with it. Registrations are reviewed and accepted manually. Check the curriculum for details: amussis.xyz/cohorts/cohort-1…

Some blockchains offer a very strong infrastructure alternative that is PQC secure. And fast. Cheap. And flexible for use cases beyond what they’re mostly used for now. 👀
How do we make sure PQC actually reaches the organizations that need it? Most orgs do not have cryptography experts. I’m worried for organizations that cannot hire experts or pay for audits, such as small clinics, local governments and small suppliers.

True story… In 2005, Hurricane Wilma hit South Florida, and blew up the transformer that directed power to @PineCrestSch where I was teaching English. We were out of school for 2 weeks. When I got back, determined to never lose that much time with my students again, I built out my whole course on a web page. For free. (I taught a bunch of really old literature and we really focused on analysis and writing). There were a couple of LMS models floating around by then. When we started being required to use them, and different brands seemingly every year, i started to envision what an ideal academic platform would be. When I got into this industry, and still today, the grand vision has been a platform wherein the best minds can solve the hardest problems, create meaningful impact, and pursue increasingly palpable positive deviance discoveries. When I designed what would become Turbine, it was all about maintaining human-centricity in a fast-emerging, global, digital community. I had to fight everyone early to keep the live (virtual) human interaction part as a core practice. Turns out that was the right hill to stand on. Watching how broken education, research, collaborative scholarship, and the global knowledge industry has become- @jennyliu07 and I have reimagined @Harkness_Labs and are shipping an MVP that will resonate with academicians around the world. It is a smooth blend of usability, sophistication, millennia-old best practices, and frontier technologies. And it will only continue to get better. Waitlist sign ups coming soon. On Monad

I couldn't find a good place to learn more about the technologies in the Agave validator, so I built one. Introducing Amussis. Learn the right way, with your agent as a partner, then build something new with what you learn.

As we ramp up our Testnet Validator operations- we are rigorously monitoring everything that happens. We had our first missed vote in 3 days. While common on testnet, we didn’t wave it off as such. We have gotten deep into the why. How do we avoid that same issue happening again? Being perfect, while not always realistic, is always the goal. Better every block. As an ethical, servant operator, our job #1 is to support the processing and voting on transactions. To help decentralize and secure Monad. We take this work very seriously. Soon everyone will be able to help us do this work by staking with us.

The greatest moat is knowing your users. Invariably they are people with similarities to you. Look at the similarities AND the differences. Lay into the similarities and limit the differences in UX design. Leverage your advantages for their benefit - not your own. It’s not about getting your first 100 users. It’s about keeping most of them, and them bringing in more. @WaterLe_MON @Harkness_Labs

If @category_xyz REALLY wants to flex the academic muscles globally beyond the CT crowd, we need to get y’all on @Harkness_Labs as early users and make it the premier platform for academia on the planet. We can do this - on Monad of course

There WILL be a shift. Chains launched 3+ years ago will struggle to patch and maintain. Even the best of them. Ofc there are VERY powerful and wealthy people who will fight it relentlessly (and in a way that further polarizes them as new users enter the space) But they will become antiquated - It happened when Solana came along and overtook Ethereum. It will happen again.
